Best gun purchase Ive made: pocket pistol

I like the keltec PF9 and also the glock model 42. For me the glock model 42 was the most accurate gun I have ever fired, but I really don't like anything below 9mm. I'd like to try a pf9 again and a glock 43 and see what kind of groups I can get out of em at 10yds. I have 2 pistols right now and will carry one for city/people and the other for woods/critters

Walther PPQ M2 .40 4" barrel for IWB

Springfield loaded 1911 .45 5" for OWB/woods

Cheap ammo and these little guns don't work. Tried some tulammo for target practice once. 4 outta 6 FTF.
FWIW the problem is likely that the ammo is Russian rather than cheap. Russian ammo typically has very hard primers, which give certain guns fits.

Sig P938 fits in pocket just fine. I also use the Kydex holster that came with the gun at 4 o'clock OWB.

I carry the p238 sometimes. If the 938 is as accurate and easy shooting, I'd like to get one. There's not much difference in size

LCP custom

Just purchased and shot one yesterday. I came away very impressed. A very nice pistol for the money - $249.00. Trigger pull was nice and consistent, which helped make it relatively accurate. It is snappy, but not overly so. Previously, I owned a Kahr P380 - which costs $400.00 more. It was a jam-o-matic, even after 800 rounds. I don't have strong hands, which led to a less than an ideal grip to shot the P380 well. "Limp-wristing" the P380 is not a recipe for a smooth running pistol. By contrast, I put about 60 rounds (Tulammo) down range with the LCP. It's not a large sample size, but I had only one FTF. Which, is a huge improvement over the P380. Also, I own and love a Sig 938, but it's not a pocket pistol in my opinion.

I'm not knocking the P380, it just wasn't for me.

I like my LCP a lot too.

I pocket carry with a Blackhawk pocket holster, and also belt carry at times in a Galco Stinger OWB.

MY fav pocket carry is my Ruger LCR .38. It's very light & small, not as small as the micro .380's but the revolver is rock solid reliable.

It goes bang every time & can be loaded up with +P's to provide some real power.

..yep, it is only 5 shots, but most *close defensive encounters* are 3 shots or less.

YMMV.

There are so many good pocket carry guns and the competition is increasing. I like my Kimber Micro Carry 380acp. It is a miniature, very close to a 1911 design. Everyone needs to find the right one from them.

Carried my glock 26 the other day when me and my family went on a hike and it felt like a tank compared the ruger. I realized that I am done with the 26 for the spring/summer.

There are folks who talk about pocket carrying a G26, but it isn't for me, either. I have done it for short runs to the grocery store while wearing cargo shorts, but it really is a hip gun most of the time. For IWB concealment, the G26 is a fine choice, but we agree that there are lots of better choices for pocket guns.

I am in Rectifier's camp:

I have been on a search for the ideal pocket pistol, thinking hard about the Beretta Nano or Sig P290RS.

I have owned a Walther PPK/S, a Ruger LCP, a Sig P232 and an NAA Guardian. I liked them all, the LCP being the easiest to pocket carry, and the P232 being the extreme limit for my pocket. The PPK/S and the P232 were the most reliable (never a malfunction).

But my LCR is truly Ol' Reliable and plenty light enough for the pocket.
Mine has a Big Dot front sight.

The Sig P290RS (9mm) and Ruger LCR (357 Magnum) are my pocket guns. I recently bought a Glock 43, one more to try pocket carrying.

I'd love an LCR or a S&W air weight! For now, I like my LCP; she's the size of my wallet and will fit in my back pocket if necessary. She shoots true. One note, these things hurt like hell in sub freezing temperatures! :D

Two pages of posts in a LCP thread and no LCP pictures!

I'll fix that...

Custom LCP

Not a bad little shooter!

I wear a casual pant with big pockets.to work

when I summer carry, I can fit either my walther ccp or a S+W shield into a remora holster and I am good to go
