I'm not ragging on the Omega triggers per se, but the OP said
I would like to eventually get trigger work done on it so I want to make sure the base gun I buy would be a good candidate for future work from Cajun gun works
I have a pre B, so obviously not an Omega trigger. I've heard they are good, but you're limited on what all you can do with them. It seems like it would be a waste of time to send one off.
I purchased a CZ 75B Omega about six months ago. I Bought it cause I heard and read good thing about them. I Bought the Omega because it was the newer version figured might as well get the most up to date one. soon I wanted to change the trigger started to research how to go about it... oh no seemed like no option but plenty for the standard CZ 75. Well a lot of this info was older and at that time there wasn't.
Cajun Gun works has some great option for the Omega. One thing is they are not in the CZ 75 section they are in the CZ P-07 / 09 section the race Hammer and the Short Reset Kit with a 15lb or 13lb gives a really nice 3.5lb - 3lb trigger.
I called Cajun with a question on the safety with the new hammer while I was chatting with gentlemen on the phone I mentioned how nice the trigger was on my pistol, he said yeah with those parts I like the trigger better than the modified parts on the standard CZ 75. Now I have no reference to what the standard CZ trigger feels like nor do I know what this fellow likes in a trigger but I can say the trigger on my CZ 75B Omega is fantastic.
