Best 9mm semi choice for large hands

No gun enthusiast should be without a Beretta 92FS/M9 in his collection. My example is a late 90's production, when the M9 and the 92FS were exactly the same. As someone said, the slide action on the 92FS is like butter.... very oh so very satsifyingly smooth slide/click. Hard to explain, but a Glock feels like you're dragging the slide through sand. The Beretta is sweet. It's the ubiquitous movie "action hero" gun. Also, Beretta makes factory 17rd magazines for them now. I'd recommend only buying factory Beretta magazines or surplus military Beretta magazines with new springs installed. Get the Inox if you want a purty gun and a Made in USA black model if you want the military look.

I have been using Mec-Gar 18 rd flush fit magazines and 20 rd "Plus 2" magazines in my 92 FS for years and they are excellent.

I would have a hard time listening to what that store has to say anymore to be honest. CZ's are every bit as nice a gun as anything in their price range. If you have large hands, the P09 is a great option for a lighter full size. The CZ SP-01 is all steel and much heavier.

I referred another member to a clone CZ, the Tristar P-120. Full size, steel, 19+1 rounds. There are also many grip options to make it fit even better. Thin panel G10 if it feels a little bulky, or some palm swell ones if it's on the slightly smaller end. As for quality of Tristar, I have read the CZ forums enough and plenty of diehard CZ guys will admit to seeing better machining and internal marks on the Tristars.

Don't disregard the CZ, or even their clones, because of what some guy at a shop says. If I did that, I would probably be convinced that Glock makes the only reliable gun in the world...

I don't have a ton of experience with CZ but all of it has been positive. They seem like great guns and the people who have them seem to love them. I'd also agree with this one:

Beretta PX4 Storm. Fairly long, thick grip to start with, and comes with an extended mag. Also has extra back straps if you need even more girth.

It's worth checking out if you get the chance. Besides changing the back strap, you can also get low-profile safety levers if the stock ones stick out too much for you.

CZ are my favorite handguns, by a mile. I've owned pretty much everything, and my favorite 3 handguns are (in order):

CZ P-01
CZ SP-01
CZ PCR

You made a great choice. Don't let the haters kill your buzz!
