What a slap in the face to those diligent and conscientious immigrants who came here legally, completed all of the paperwork, took all the tests, took a vow of allegiance, waited 5 years, etc., to become a naturalized citizens; and now 11 million plus illegals are going to get essentially the same deal for doing nothing but crossing the border. Two questions.

Does this legislation actually suggest that those who have been here illegally simply automatically become citizens or do they have to fill out all the same paperwork, pay all the same fees, take all the same tests, and pass all the same background checks as someone who's doing it from the other side of the border?


Also, I heard any interesting question on the radio. There's all this talk as to what would happen if a law was passed felonizing illegal presence in the US and they all disobyed....but what would happen if they all left? What would happen if eleven or twelve million people simply left the United States in the course of a few months?

Would any industries be negatively affected? Would any retailers and small business owners lose their customer base? :confused:
 
For most of the country the impact would be minimal. Citizens would fill the employment gaps, those businesses that had to pay next to nothing to survive would fold and be replaced by a smaller number of legitimate businesses and our tax revenues would actually INCREASE. Things would be slightly rougher for states like California but ya know what? Tough. Not everything can be solved without a little discomfort. We seem to have forgotten that.

How about all American tax payers start claiming 5 or more dependents on their taxes. Who cares if the illegals leave the country. We built this country with out them, lets stand in defence of America and throw out these weak liberal excusses.

For the record American tax payers shelled out 1.3 TRILLION $$$$$ in 2005 for social programs alone. Illegals have placed a heavy burden on our health care system far worse than any libera newspaper will tell You. The same goes for social welfare programs. Free health care, welfare, housing, food. 29% are in our prisons, which we pay for in the name of illegal alliens.
While the government taxes social security checks for real Americans who want to retire.

Kennedy, Clinton, Kerry, Shummer, were all out at those stupid protests on Monday vomiting on America again. We should rename the dem/lib party the TREASON LOBBY!

I challenge any of these loser media outlets to report on illegals stealing part time jobs that many American senior CITIZENS need to supliment their TAXED SS checks. One of my friends insulates new housing, used to! He planned on sending his American kids to college someday. He watched his wages fall from $26.00 hr to $14.00. 70% of his coworkers gone, replaced by illegal Mexican's.

noone but them and they will do it better. its not a race issue its pure economics. you wanna spend the extra money to buy those things? where you gonna getv the money? then you want a raise to pay for the new cost of living. then what?ill tell you prices go up again cause we gave everyone a raise to pay for everything.

Actually that would be good for your heart in many ways.:rolleyes:

The idea that average joe benefits in any way from cheap labor is wrong profit is pocketed by those at the top.

Illegal labor benefits contractors, the wealthy here and Mexico, not the taxpayer, we do however subsidize this labor with our tax dollars. So please if your for open borders use another reason but not prices.

Tell me..... How are millions of $10hr workers gonna pay for all these welfare programs? Much less millions of baby boomer AMERICAN CITIZENS who will start to retire soon?

Americans didn't want the jobs is lame BS. And also, housing prices sure went way up in the last 20 years as the wages for the builders dropped.

actully 10 dollars an hour is pretty good for the american teen who uts grass in the summer to fund his fun projects liketaking his gf out and spending mney on gunsthat is how i started...
