Bend Over America - Senators say they have deal on immigration

Guys there is a problem. You will never get enough people sent back to make much of a difference. Its like relocating bears, once they taste the good life they can never go back.

And with the way Ford and GM are sending jobs away I may try hoping the border one day. The way I see it US company's are going to kill the US by sending all jobs to other countries, china does not spend a dime in the states. Illegals are not doing anything wrong to US citizens.

At least if they all starting paying taxes we would at least get that out of them. So what I would rather see a level playing field where the large homebuilders had to pay workers comp on every one of them. Then maybe people could compete with "Cheap" labor, if it ain't cheap then there is no problem in my eyes.

And anyone who says "They make it so the white man can't work" is just a lazy redneck that would never have a real job anyway. The extra people are VERY GOOD as they are sucking up houses and propping up the US market by just using money. If we did not have poor people we would not have rich people anyway.
 
What I think of Illegal Imigration: It's ILLEGAL!

What the 12 to 15 million Illegals among us cost the U.S. annually:

$2.2 Billion for medical treatment for uninsured illegals
$2.1 Billion to lock up illegals in our prisons (over 25% of our federal prison population)
$2.5 Billion in Medicaid
$1.4 Billion in federal aid to schools
$1.9 Billion in food stamps, WIC, and school lunches

Do the math. $10 Billion from the paycheck of the American tax-payers.

And the government says they don't have the budget to protect our border.:barf:

I think if we sent every illegal imigrant home. We could afford to build and power a Jurassic Park T-rex electric fence along our entire border.

And if the government is worried about losing all the drywallers, veggie-pickers, leaf blowers, and window washers, cut back welfare. You'll find some new employees.

I also want to say I have nothing against LEGAL immigrants. My grandparents were. But they got jobs, paid taxes, and learned English.
 
...there's a BIG difference between immigration and ILLEGAL entry!..to hell with this political corruption(correctness) jargon..we have an illegal alien problem..not an immigration problem...

I know a guy in prison who thought it was easier to rob a bank than work for a living. Working was hard and took too long to get what he wanted. I suppose, according to your logic, the bank should have realized the error of it's ways and just sent him free money every month. Poor guy, the bank forced him into a life of crime.

LEGAL immigration slows the flow down enough so that the country can absorb the new arrivals without overwhelming the infrastructure (schools, housing, transportation, etc). We need hardworking people in this country, but only as quickly as we can handle them.Unless we get control our borders, these 10-12 million will seem like a drop in the bucket.

THIS WILL TURN UGLY AND END BADLY.

at the rate theyre coming over, mexico will de-populate entirely in 15 years and tourists will wonder where have all the people gone....:eek:





congress doesnt have the slightest clue the mess it has created by not keeping the illegal issue in check..good news for cheap,unskilled labor, bad news for everyone else that has to pay for it all.
 
Iraq has cost close to 70 billion a year. So if your looking for where your tax dollars are going.

K-mart cost the US close to 2 billion when they closed up.

Wal-mart cost 1.1 Billion a year because the people that work there don't have the money to pay for medical, so uncle sam picks up the tab.

Delphi is going to drop everyone that worked for them. Uncle Sam is going to bail them out with close to 6 billion.

Oil company's got help to look for more oil, that was a mere 3.5 Billion.

One estimate had the US over paying contractors over 12.5 Billion a year. This is for buildings and roads.

Now you don't see the above stuff happening, so you don't care. So don't go crying that the Mexicans are stealing your money. At least most work, and if a few bills were passed they could pay taxes and give back for what they get.

The big problem is that people in the US hire illegals and don't have anyway to pay taxes, nor do they care to.

This post is specifically about illegal immigration. If you were to post something decrying other governmental abuses as you listed them, I for one am right with you.

If you listed them as some convoluted justification for our immigration problems, you are not making much sense. How could I justify becoming a burglar simply because I live next door to a drug dealer or across the street from a prostitute? Five problems does not excuse a sixth. Just because our government is screwed up on multiple fronts does not excuse their mis-handling of immigration in this country.

People seem to be waking up a little; this issue seems to be at the forefront. I think that great. Let's get this fixed, and then keep the ball rolling.
 
The Senate's got a big problem right now...they're going on a 2 week recess, and the general public will now have a chance to mull over the latest incarnation of immigration legislation. It won't take long for folks to figure out that this bill is seriously deficient. Instead of trying to figure out what to do with the 11 million illegal immigrants that are now estimated to be in the US, their main concern should be how to seal the borders and stop the flow. Once this has been done, then we can deal with the illegals. Without secure borders, homeland security is a joke!

I wish I had a good solution to the problem, but the only thing I can come up with is a big fence along the entirety of the border with Mexico. A big part of the problem is that the government of Mexico actively encourages its citizens to go north, when they should be helping the US stem the flow. You would think a nation would be concerned about a mass exodus of their citizens to another country, but not Mexico. The more they can get rid of, the better they like it. With a neighbor like Mexico, I'm coming to the conclusion that a fence is the only solution.

Correct we need a barrier of some type and boots on the ground be it military
or border patrol, then and only then should any form of work program start.
Otherwise we will have another 10-20 million within next 10 years.

Hey its the only hope they have. That or getting lucky and get a job at the new GM plant, but the GM plant still only pays 50 cents an hour. The government does not want their people to lose hope for a better life.

It would be like the US government telling you that you will never own that car you want, that you will never move out to the country. That you will only get a few years after retirement to enjoy the work you did, and even then you will likely be sick or in pain for it.

To do this is to take the only motivation the people have. If Mexico put up a wall and land mines you would see a 2-4x increase in suicides within a month, maybe more.

The baby bloomers are going fast. The homes that are being slapped up now will be empty in a few years when the 20 million over age 70 are gone.

I say make them pay taxes like the rest of us. And close the border already!
 
our govern-ass in AZ. Janet Neopolitano..talks plenty and refuses to sign anything that comes her way to stop the problem...she is about as 2-faced(or a 2 headed monster) as they come...hope the Republicans point that out as her position is indefensible..
 
It amazes me, everyone is figuring out which groups to place people in so they can determine how fast they can get them back in here. What's so wrong with just kicking them out; and keeping them out!?!?

I can understand their point about one's who have been here for over 7 years and have married citizens and had citizen children, yada yada yada getting to stay here.
 
Let's face it. The illegal invasion problem just went from a high simmer to a full boil in the last week, and the lid's close to giving way....

...and, like Islamic terrorism and illegal drugs, our government will do as little as possible to address the issue UNTIL there is a significant loss of life or governmental revenue.

I've got a very bad feeling about the next few months... :(

I don't think there will be any new law until the next Congress, i.e after the November election. In the meantime, there is adequate means to start increasing enforcement of the borders right away. That is where popular sentiment seems to indicate we need to start and will win points for the GOP, much more so than passing any amnesty provision. Hopefully the election will occur before everyone realizes what all that will cost and what controlling the border really means..
 
My feild is one that requires substantial technical skills to do. I've never had my job taken by someone sneaking over the border.

Personally, I feel far more threatened by some corporation eliminating my job because they can outsource it to a country where they get someone to do the job for 5,000/year, than by any illegal immigrant currently in this country.

The United States is not going to sent anyone anywere, are you not watching whats going on. The illegals are telling the government what they want, it's not a request it's a demand. I live in the former state of California now being Mexifornia. They are taking over so learn spanish. Dont worrie if your from a state that has not been affected you will be in due time. The illegal amigos, coming to a town near you. The America you once knew is ending. Learn spanish.

We are on our way to a country of the have's and have nots.
