A sig line, attribution to MattNificent. I did a search and found a forum where some folks were discussing shotgun racks that slid under a mattress, so it would be conveniently at hand if you were woken suddenly. Someone else chimed in with a suggestion of using a clapper to turn on the lights when you racked the slide.

At this point I didn't want to read any further...

This may not be the original source of this, but somebody is kicking the idea around. I have no idea if anyone has actually implemented it.
