Attracted to a gun because of a cartridge . . .

Not going to lie it happens to me all the time, 45 colt, 40s&w, and 380acp are on their way, I love shooting 45s though I am just fascinated with a new caliber to load and shoot it's human nature

I own some .22LR's, .25's, .32's .380's, 9mm's, .40's and .45's. I like my big bore pistols and carry them on occasion, but tend to gravitate to a high capacity 9mm these days. As I get older the arthritis in my wrists bothers me and the recoil from my .40's and .45's tend to aggravate it much more so than all but one of my 9mm's, a sub compact Kahr PM9, that recoils pretty well due to its size. My current favorite is a HK VP9 carried at three o'clock in a black shark skin trimmed Nitengale Raptor IWB with a 25 degree forward cant on a matching belt. As good looking as it is functional. I still like the heft of a .45 now and then, I just don't put in a lot of range time with them like I used to. Something about a well made .45 that is really sweet.

yeah, sort of

I was interested in the 10mm and answered an ad for a Colt Delta. When I got there, the guy had sold the Colt, but comments that he has a G20, so I bought the Glock instead.

I've always been curious regards the .38 Super, but never committed. The .256 Win mag seems interesting, but I'd like to find an old Marlin Levermatic, and not a Ruger single shot revolver (can't think of model). Was it the Hawkeye?

The various necked down auto pistol cartridges, the .400 Corbon, the .440 Corbon, seem interesting too. What if they necked down the .500 S&W to .44, that would be interesting!
