Ok, I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you are sincere and not just pulling our chains for your own amusement.
I know where you are coming from. I agree that if someone needs medical care, they should receive it, even if I have to pay for it. We are humans and need to treat other humans the way we would like to be treated if we were in similar circumstances.
So, I guess my argument was a little to broad based. I am willing to concede on the medical care, but pretty much all the other handouts, all the other concessions, all the other things we do that are out of the norm to accomodate these people has got to stop.
I think it is obvious that the methods we have used up to this point have proven to be ineffective. IMO, the reason is that once they get here, the party is on. If we quit providing them with food stamps, welfare, free medical care (routine medical care), free housing, changing public signs and documents to their language etc. They might quit coming.
They have the right to be proud of their country of origin. They can fly that countries' flag, speak that countries language, and continue to follow the customs of that country. I just wish they would do it in that country instead of this one. We have our own flag in this country. We have a language in this country and we have our own customs.
