Are guns like potato chips?

How many guns do you own

I've thinned the herd quite a bit in recent years. I'm a shooter and not a collector so all of my guns get fired, and often. I've sold off about a dozen of mine, keeping only the ones that I shoot regularly. That's not to say I've stopped buying. Currently, I own six but a seventh is on the way.

Right now, my tiny arsenal consists of:

1. Smith & Wesson Model 6174"
2. Smith & Wesson Model 36 3"
3. Smith & Wesson Model 66 4"
4. Smith & Wesson Model 27 4"
5. Smith & Wesson Model 625 4"
6. Smith & Wesson 1911

But, so as not to get too firmly planted in a [Smith & Wesson] rut, I just plunked down some money for a CZ 75B SA.

I have three and my wife thinks I'm nuts for wanting more. This poll shows either it is normal to have more guns or there are a lot of nuts out there to keep me company. I good either way. Now, what to buy next......?

As a matter (10) three belonging to my Better Half, I have two .40s a 9mm, one .25 a .22 Mossberg shot barrel, 12 ga roit pump, and my new toy .22 AA TX200 air rifle, sold my .177 Gamo Whisper VH. As you can see way more than you can carry at one time, don't need any more.

No, One is just not enough! You need several to properly accessories different outfits:D It could be worse you boys could collecting shoes and handbags too.

lol. i have never thought about guns as being like potato chips. but i think you are right. i cant stop. just when i think my collection is complete. i find another one i want. and for every one i sell. i buy 2 more. 3 years ago, i had 2 hunting rifles 3 shotguns, and 1 handgun. now i have 3 hunting rifles, 5 shotguns, 5 assult rifles, and 13 handguns. lol

"I have never seens guns at the local market nor in vending machines. "

A vending machine... Now there's an idea. You could fill it with Rohms and Ravens and Phoenix Arms pistols, maybe even some Cobray derringers. I'd even throw in a few Hi-Points, but they might jam up the machine.

Nice arsenal. S&W comprises a significant chunk of my holdings as well.

I only need one more!

When my wife asks me if I already have one of those, and I can't remember, I'll stop buying them. So far, I'm somewhere around 30 give or take a dozen or so. I think!

Show her some of the collection pics from a few of these members here (me too, probably:o ) and she will see that you are in the minority! LOL!
Yep, I'm sure guns are like chips...three years ago, I had none. Then one day I bought a 10" Super Blackhawk that I had wanted forever...a while later, I spotted an ad for another gun I had always wanted. It sorta snowballed from there & today I have 19. The only reason why I don't have 360 or more is because I found the bottom of my bank account... LOL!!!:D

I own somewhere between 1 and 50. Where the specific number falls, I will let you guess. After all, my wife may read this one day! ;)

I actually only had 3 for 10 years. I purchased them when I was 21 , shot for a couple of years then other things took over, race cars, women, snowmobiles, women, offshore powerboats , women.. so I basically forgot about them. Well now I'm married and things have changed , a little over a year ago I ended up laid off for 9 months , that got me back into it. Since then I've added 8 guns to the collection and shoot 1-2 times a week. Also got my CPL. I'm hooked again and have several other guns I would like to add .

Wow

Now I don't feel so bad about having over 40 handguns. My wife thought it was a bit excessive. She likes guns, but not THAT much.Seriously,I gotta dump a few I never shoot.

"More than a dozen" !!!

I have more than a dozen handguns. More than a dozen rifles, half dozen shotguns, half dozen black powder, a couple replica cannons.

We won't talk about the optics, the reloading stuff, the knife collection.

Not married, no kids in college, retired. The house is paid for as are the vehicles. No credit balances.

Getting old has its downside, but accumulating heaps of nifty toys is one of the bennies. :D
