They say you can't eat just one potato chip. Can you have just one gun? Tke the poll, let's see...... (plus I've never done a poll before and just have to try);)

I only have 8 guns in my collection at the present time. After I pay for my wedding in September, the arms shortage in my home will be over.

I am HOPING to get at least one gun as wedding present! But I'll probably just get a bunch of pats on the back.

I'd rather just spend the money on guns and tattoos but APPARENTLY after putting up with me for 5 1/2 years, a nice wedding is inevitable. Oh well, maybe I can scrounge up enough to "get her" a Saiga-12.

I don't have enough, and never will...........its a condition I will take with me to the grave :)

Oh, and I voted "more than a dozen" cause thats as high as the poll went.

I used to own a bunch of guns until my terrible boating accident in the deepest part of the Gulf of Mexico last week......

Guns like potato chips?? Yeah I can see that. However, 1911's are definitely my potato chips. I don't ever see myself having only one or two.

Last count had me at 92 guns.. My goal is to be over 100..

Hey, after all. How many coin, stamp, baseball card collectors, have only one of those?

But unlike chips, each gun is different and usually fills a niche that the others can't, or, at least that is my excuse.

I cannot eat a gun. I cant say many folks here can. However, I own quite a few so I chose the last option on your poll. I like to collect good pieces, but at the sametime when I have had enough of certain gun, I get rid of it.

Actually, I can eat just one potato chip. I don't care much for them at all.

Hard pretzels, though? Can't say no to them.

And I have LOTS of handguns. And rifles.

So they're my hard pretzels.

Older S&W revolvers?

They're my Uncle Henry's Hard Pretzels, the BEST hard pretzel out there.

This is the "Betcha can't eat just one." thing,,, isn't it,,,,,

No matter what I say or do,,,
There is always something that catches my eye.

Fortunately, I do have a treatment for my hoplomania,,,
Once I buy a handgun and decide for whatever reason it's not a keeper,,,
I just build a nice presentation box & holster for it and peddle it to someone else.

Never taken a bath on one yet,,,
One might sit in consignment for a while,,,
But eventually, someone will take a fancy to it.

Oh wait a second,,,
There was that one iffy purchase,,,
I bought an old H&R .22 that no one wanted,,,
I finally gave it to the daughter of a friend as a headboard pistol.

Other than that one,,,
I'va always at least broken even.

I've got just one, plus half interest in a shotgun for home protection. I do have another gun currently awaiting pickup, though -- a .22 S&W revolver that's the same size and dimensions as my .357 carry gun. I figure it will be easier to practice with.

I rather doubt that I'll acquire more guns. *However*, my gun-nut husband would probably own an arsenal if he didn't have graduate school to pay for, and I daresay will eventually. So I get to shoot *his* guns when I feel like using something different at the range. ;)

Oddly enough, when I owned more guns than I currently do, I shot each less frequently and eventually lost interest in some. They were sold off, and while do regret letting a few go, now I have a variety that all get used. Not sure more is necessarily better in guns, but potato chips? Definitely! ;)
