I wouldn't mind at all if Smith re-released its single-stack nines...or any of its metal frames, for that matter.
I had a P229 in 9mm and a P225. The grip on the P229 was not terribly larger than the P225...but the P225 shot much more nicely.
I also had a P226. The only one I've kept is the P225. I never feel underarmed carrying it.
Too bad the new one will use different magazines; now there will be two different and non-compatible P225 mag types to keep track of.
Pity also about the price. I can't see it lasting long on the market at that price.
