Anybody Carry A Revolver?

i have a tough time understanding how people "carry" multiple speedloaders on their person at all times....where?

Simple for me. I don't. God forbid that if I ever have to use it, but I know I'm limited to 5 rounds to deter an attack.

speed loader case ready made

Did you know that a leatherman multi tool case like this one will hold two .38 six round hks speed loaders and not be detected?(this is my old work one, I have a newer nicer cleaner one somewhere!LOL)
Two for the K frame or security six fit right in it, and is easily accessible if work on the front right. Looks like a knife case.
Even my small phone case will hold one speed loader deep inside and not been seen.

Used to carry a Smith 637 but couldn't practice with it enough to actually expect to hit anything, so I sold it to a more appreciative guy. My EDC's are a PM9 and, increasingly, a new Sig p238. I like shooting revolvers, but the tradeoff in slow reloads and added bulk means no sale for me.

Revolvers don't begin and end with pocket guns. On reloads, do you actually carry a reload for your Kahr or Sig? I don't think concern about the chances of actually needing a reload and about how long it could take is a deal maker/breaker in what I choose to carry. I have a speed strip and that's it, just in case, better than none, easy to carry. I favor tactical style trousers, so it is all very easy to do

In fact, I carry an extended mag for whichever gun I'm carrying in my weakside pocket. When I carried the 637, I carried a speedstrip, too ... but I simply wasn't prepared to spend the time to practice reloading .. since the drill for reloading almost all semis is the same, I get plenty of practice at the range or at home. Revolvers are a lot of fun to shoot, but I just don't shoot them well enough to bet my life on one.

For me, the potential need for a reload means I'm prepared to make one by having spare ammo with me. You can't look at the odds of needing spare rounds, every incident is a clean slate with its own dynamics. Saying you don't think you'll need a reload is cold comfort when you do and don't have it.

You pay your money, you take your choice ...

Most times I am carrying either a S&W 38 snub nose, A Rossi 38 in 2 inch barrel, A Rossi 357 mag in 2 inch barrel, A Rossi 357 mag hammerless 2 inch barrel, or a 357 Rossi in a 4 inch barrel.

I really like a Rossi revolver for CC due to the value they represent. They aren't a Ruger but, they are hard to beat for the reliability and accuracy, as well as being one of the best values in a CC revolver anywhere around. Great little guns. God Bless

I like the Rossis of the Interarms era.

I have to withdraw. I tried, and I'll try again, but it's just so much easier to tuck in that flat and skinny LCP than to deal with the J. Factor in the weight difference, and it's even harder to go for the J. I feel so...ashamed.

Carmady, no offense but I'd rather have the five rounds of .44 special JHPs in my Charter Arms Bulldog than the 6-7 .380 rounds in your LCP.

Or better yet, 5 rounds of .44mag in my S&W69 4-1/4" L-Frame.

Get yourself some suspenders and a real gun.

When I first got my CHL I bought a LCP to carry, but I don't feel that it's adequate for anything other than a belly shooter. (but I tried):)

So now I carry a model 637 or 37 J frame on my hip with the LCP in my back pocket as a bug, and a speed strip and extra magazine in my watch pocket.

(and I wear suspenders)

This thread has had me carrying a revolver for months.. a 38 special 5 shot hammerless S&W lightweight.

Before this I carried a Kel-Tec 380 for years.

You're safer now, but maybe you could think about making even bigger holes.
