Anti-gun does not = automatic Leftist.

I just don't see an issuse with full auto if you need one so bad why haven't you filed for a license. You can do that, you know that right?

Get an ffl and a class III all you need and you don't have to have a full auto for that. If they won't let you then move to a state that will because if Coyotes are that bad that you need a full auto then it's obvious you need to move to a safer place anyways.

The same people whining the same off subject ideals every time..
easily say the same things about all the right-leaners here whining about not getting their machine guns and ten commandments in the classroom.

I didn't realize that was happening on this forum and even if it was, the Ten Commandments is a long way from all the sexual orientation going on.

When are ya gonna get it? We don't care to hear about you sexual preferences? This is a gun forum not a sexual practice discussion group.

Get over it dude!

Not really, since most arguments (though admittedly not all) against gay rights stem from religion (and yes, most "tradition" or "family values" arguments also stem from religion)...so Ten Commandments arguments aren't that far from sexual orientation arguments. It's all about separation of church and state...or, if you prefer, the establishment of religition or restriction on the free exercise thereof.

Then stay out of the thread. It's been said both here, and in PMs to you. Nobody is forcing you to click on it. No threads in L&P are mandatory. And L&P is not only for firearms discussion.

Get over it dude!

I'll ask you again, please stop trolling and/or derailing this thread.

I don't get it. If your saying they're taking this and that away but when they banned stuff before and you never had a problem getting stuff then where's the point?
Anyone has a right to get a full auto, you have to get a license though. If your state has gun dealers then they have no option but to look at your request. They have the right to turn you down due to background, where you are going to house the weapons and etc. It is a long and drawn out process but it is made to be to weed out the jokers. It is not different then the process a felon must go through to get a firearm.
The gov. doesn't know you from adam and if you want them to give you the right to military type weapons then they want to get to know you first.
If anyone could pay a few hundred dollars and have a license without extensive background checks, then how much a chance is there that the firearms will go to people that are going to use them illegally or sell them.
example: gangs, criminal individuals, drug runners, terroists

This forum is a not a "conservative-only" haven where the right wingers can enjoy preaching to the chior. It's a place for firearms enthusiasts to openly discuss legal and political issues; legislation regarding homosexuality is both a legal and political issue. It's not a discussion about the practices, it's a discussion about the legal and political issues regarding them.

Just because some of us don't care to hear about your religious preference doesn't mean I'm going to tell you to stop talking about them and "get over it dude!" If you don't want to read it then why do you keep posting in a thread that you know is going to discuss it?

Gosh I didn't realize I was preaching religion, just not wanting a sex lesson..
I figured that one out(sex) without religion.

Right on. I'm not gay or saying that I personally agree with it but hey how can you say seperate church and state, then outlaw gay marriage when marriage is a church thing unless a judge marries you.
Wouldn't it be more right that the state says you can't be married by a officer of the court.

Yeah so did I. I'm just annoyed that some people want to justify telling me how to conduct my sex life based on their religion.

No one's giving "sex lessons" so you can stop pretending anyone is. Someone pointing out that he's gay is no different than someone pointing out he's straight. It's relevant to the conversation and there has been little discussion of actual sexual practices.

Again, if you don't want to have a discussion about these issues why are you choosing to participate in a thread that incorporates them?

Not true.....you need to get a different line.

Hey being poilitically correct they quit saying the pledge of alligance due to the fact of God so when are schools gonna quit asking for my money since it says in God we trust? I want to be as politically correct a possible and follow the law 100%;)

Sasquatch

You get an FFL and a class III. It's started in the fed. gov. then you go to the state gov. to finish up. You need to pick up an app. package, mind you it's really thick and it lists everything you need to do and in what order.

There are plenty of schools that continue to say the pledge, some that have simply taken the word god out because it wasn't even in the original version and others that - like schools have always done - give kids the choice.

I don't mind them taking god off the money. Doesn't really belong there, imho, but I do think it's a waste of time for Congress to bicker about the issue in the first place.

Actually, they haven't quite doing the Pledge (at least in my state)...and the opposition isn't just because of the words "under God." For instance, Jehovah's Witnesses can't do the pledge for other reasons.

But as it stands, the pledge is still done (generally only in elementary school...and I suppose this might vary state to state). I know, because my wife is the only teacher at her elementary school that doesn't do it.

Also, the difference between "In God We Trust" on money and the Pledge is that, IIRC, a court at some point determined that the money issue didn't present any great imposition in that one could spend money without having to really acknowledge what it said on it. Or some such. Whereas it's much harder to simply ignore a Pledge that you're being forced to take in a small group (such as a classroom) on a daily basis.

The only accommodations that are now required at a Federal level, to my knowledge, are that students cannot be required to stand during the Pledge (and certainly aren't required to say it with the group). I'm not sure if they're allowed to leave the room or not.[/tangent]

That's my point when something happens that they don't agree with and have no reasonable excuse for why they fall back on old excuses.
