Ammo went up again

Stopped in at Wally World and observed that ammo went up again. I was looking at 9mm and Federal went up a little over a dollar per box. Question about Tula. Anyone use it. How is it? The price for Tula 45acp can't be beat.

How much was the Federal? By me it is $11.97/box. I try to stay away from foreign ammo, especially in this economy. That said, many people here like it.

I bought a LOT of Tula 9mm ammo and have had no problems at all with it in my Baretta 92FS.

Have not tried the .45ACP since I already have 1500 rounds sitting here. Maybe when it starts to get low I'll try it.:D

I bought some Winchester white box 9mm ammo a couple weeks ago, 100 @ $24.97. I don't remember paying any less than that this year (if it has been in-stock that is).

I was in a Wally World on Thursday and priced .45 ammo at 32 and some change for a box of 100.

I went back Saturday and the same box up to 35.

If I had a place to start reloading I would. At the rate the dollar is sliding I won't be able to afford anything by the end of the year.

Federal is up to $12.97 from $10.97 two months ago. At least in my local Wally World.

The RWS 124gr went up to $13.97.

Ammo going up again and again and again. i have a box of 50 9mm I bought in 2009 FederalAmerican Eagle. Price $6.99 at the local gun shop, now you guys ar saying it's going up to twice that. I am back to reloading 9mm and casting my own 115 RN. For the longest time I thought it was a waste to reload 9mm & .223 not any more.:(

Think the anti gunners are working on taxing us out of shooting? I do!

Mace

I heard Tula smell's. Kind of like cheap Vodka.:p

But don't go Russian in.

FYI, I'm still shooting $8 box's of Fiocchi 9mm's, and every box smell's like spaghetti.

Salute!

Again!?! Ammo just went up a month or two ago and now it's even higher!?!

If my ammo can wasn't stuffed full of ammo I would be slightly more irritated. I do "need" more 9mm rounds though, I'm down to just 150 rounds of that.

Get real - try looking at what just happened to the value of our debt. The value of your dollar keeps getting more worthless against world currencies

Anyone use it. How is it?

I shot Tula .45 acp my last range trip and it was just fine.

Speaking of ammo increases...hope we never go through
the great ammo drought again. It's nice to see a box of
.380 on the shelf you know :D

Actually commodities went down. So a blame Obama opinion doesn't work out. Just like it didn't work out in 2008/2009 either.

(Oil just got hit in the market too. Is it Obama's fault that your probably wont see gas prices go down?)

EDITED BY MB2.
Ammo Prices at Wallmart, Dicks, and Gander mountain have gone up.
It is called inflation.
Where a person was living high on the hog in 1970 making 25,000 a year now that amount is barely above minimum.
I have found bulk ammo to really be the best deals. I have horded up.

Lot of Obama supporters here. Am really sorry if offended you guys.

I blame politicians. Since they are more than happy to take the credit when things go well, they are liable for the blame when things don't.

I know that they are seldom, personally directly resposible, but I don't really care. Their policies DO have a major impact on our economy, both directly and indirectly.

We got spoilled by the fact that ammo prices remained virtually stable for over a decade (and were much lower than today). Also we weren't fighting wars during those years. Add in the ever growing UN push against sale of surplus ammo (to anybody, but especially to us civilians), the increased demand of other nations for the raw materials, and the loss of real value of our dollar, and there you go.

Nobody wants to talk about inflation, but when the price of things keeps going up (and thhis is a general thing, not just ammo), what else do you call it?

I worded that last post poorly. I meant that there is no need to point the finger at democrats or republicans specifically. Both have contributed to the current state of affairs.

So have we. We elected them and what the cheaper prices that importing gives us. We ourselves are the ones to blame too.:(

Buy bulk surplus now. I do every month. Better than gold in sealed cans.
