All of this will come to an end. Hoarding of ammo and the insane rush to buy anything that shoots are bubbles, just like the housing and stock market bubbles. At some point, people will have accumulated all of the guns and ammo that they can afford, or they will wake up and realize that the bad 'ol government isn't looking under their beds for their guns, or they'll come to the conclusion that, given the tenor of the times, they'd best be spending their money on something else. At that point, prices will level off and then, almost certainly drop. That day may come sooner than we think. On another forum I observed that I've noticed that the asking prices on Gunbroker have been going through the roof but that, with the exception of no-reserve sales, very little has been selling. That's a sure sign of sellers' expectations exceeding demand and is exactly what happened in the housing market before it crashed. So, sit tight, relax, and keep your senses of humor. This too, shall pass.
