This is a REALLY good Army training vid from way back. Very informative. Some of it for you guy might be stuff you already know, but for beginners, or if your buying a ar15 or modern m14 (i have a korean war 30-06 version), it is a great start.

Like many others have said, the choice between the AK 47 and the SKS would come down to a question of Use ?
If I were trying to do some kind of hunting with it, I would choose the SKS.
But if I wanted a Military Style Weapon, for other reasons I would choose the AK. Its up to you, but If I were so torn between the two, I would get both of them and let it go at that.
