Ahhh, the Politics of Control!

Joab: Yes, and I came to my conclusions based on all the available information. Let's see, a story coroborated by an eyewitness; and a suspect arested, hauled downtown...and set free without charges.

Do your own math. Might borrow Occam's Razor.

Let's see, a story corroborated by an eyewitness; and a suspect arrested, hauled downtown...and set free without charges.
Let's see, a suspect cries police malfeasance and that is "corroborated" by family and someone close enough to call him Neffy this totally overpowers the police spokesman's account of the story, why exactly.
Is it just because the reporter chose not to quote the police directly?

As far as being jailed and released without charges.
That's all you got ?
Happens all the time
I was jailed for 20 days and released without charges and guess what, I did it
But I did have a really convincing story of how the police were in the wrong.
Mom bought it, the guy who's house I was arrested in front of bought it. Hell he still tells the story of the thugs coming into his yard to arrest that poor boy with the broke down car.
He even calls me by my family knick name, even though he met me for the first time about 30 minutes before I was pinched in front of his house.
But that was long enough for him to take my side over LEO's .

Funny how some things are constant

That's the only parallel that you see in the whole thing huh?

And where did I say that anybody lied?

Where have I drawn any conclusion based on this story?

My question is now as it has always been, why do any of you feel compelled to come up with a conclusion?

All this talk about going with the info available, why?
Are you sheep that just regurgitate what the media wants to feed you?
Wouldn't a truly intelligent person be able to say "Not enough info to draw conclusions at this time" ?

I wrote a three page letter to the Sheriff explaining all these things. Never heard back.

That woulda pissed me off, too. Sounds like a gross waste of everyone's time and money, a gross intrusion into your life and privacy, possibly incompetence or malfeasance on the part of someone involved on the L.E. side, and possibly an FAA violation as well. (I'm not sure what special dispensation the sheriff's aviation units may or may not get, but generally, aircraft are required to remain 500 feet clear of any person, conveyance or building in an uncongested setting, and a minimum 1000 feet altitude in a densely populated area.

I wish you had had a LAWYER send your letter to the sheriff for you... :(

The incompetence was all in the sky. The pilot did nothing unsafe, and it was probably legal, it was just annoying. The spotters really needed an eye exam.

I probably would have involved a lawyer and gone much further with the thing if the guys on the ground had not been very nice and professional from the moment they arrived until they left. They were pretty embarassed when they saw what I had.

Good stories all of them

Just by the failure to communicate within this thread. It is obvious why we have these failure to communicate with newspersons or how a story gets to the threads in the first place.

I hope we are able to understand when others mention one thing and it offends another when nothing more then a thought was being placed into the discussion. The one attacking the person, who placed their thought (based on experience) about many actions regarding police and the alleged wrong doers for all to agree or disagree is the one being attacked as spreading bogus information:confused: Should the attacker be punished?

Being taken to the police station and staying at the location and then being released leads me to believe:

1( he did no wrong and is being punished un justly.
2( someone who wanted to film the video or take pictures for an album.
3( he has something against the neighbor and wants to corroborate the fact that the police were there in the past so he can have more on the neighbor the next time he calls.
4( as # 3 he called and complained in the first place because he is a snitch and police are making sure he is covered.
5( all the above

Being released after going down to the police station and havng a few cigarettes and coffee and donuts with the officers, getting to know them better. Talk to the Captain. Share some ideas as to neighbor watch tech's.
(Since he is a snitch in some respects after being down there (in some eyes) Might have questions and needed to talk to a higher power so instead of taking the Captain to him they took the photograper to the Captain).

Upon being released he is now more informed as to how police operate within the city to help the neighborhood.

Many stories in the city, all in a days work.
