Advice on ballistic wife?

Tactical Approach:

"But honey, it comes with a 18 pc Calphalon Cookset!" (or something desirable for her).

In our house... if he gets toys, we all get toys. We vary on who's is the most expensive and always try to rotate.

A man & his hobby room is a wonderfull thing. In my part of the country the basement is primarily the domain of the husband. What she dosn't know won't hurt her.

If a man also treats his wife with respect, over time she will see things his way and relent. Be kind to her and show her the respect she deserves and things will work out over time. (Maried for 20 years.)

government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of
taking care of them.

The toughest enforcer on firearms will always be the WIFE and not the ATF, FBI, or any other law enforcement organization.

If ya gotta build it, you do it at a friends place and when you take it home, it's because he asked you to store it for him.

4V50 Gary: Aw, come on now, my wife isn't stupid; She knows I bought the plans, she knows I want to build the thing; If I show up with one someday, and claim I'm just holding onto it for a friend, she'll be seriously insulted at how gullible I took her for. You don't insult the intelligence of "Catbert, the evil HR director", and not suffer for it! And that's her, HR director for a larger company than the one I work for, complete with sign on her desk reading, "To err is human, to forgive is contrary to company policy."

Look the problem is solved, so far as I'm concerned; If I can't build it because I don't have safe gun storage, then I GET safe gun storage, and I CAN build it. QED, right? I'll be shopping for a locking metal gun cabinet tomorrow.

"You don't even have a safe place to store the guns you have now; You're not bringing one more gun into this house until you get a gun safe!"
BWAHAAAHAAAHAA!!! That's too funny!

OK, well I got here a little late, but my advice was going to be:
"Why don't you offer to let her fire the first shot?" :)
If I were offered such a deal, I'd say, "What were those parts you were needing?" :D
(It might just shorten your honey-do list, too. heehee)

Cindy, if you or blueye ever need a place to stay let me know :p

Brett, bud I think you are in the clear, just aquire a locking container of some sort and let the construction begin!
