Zumbo's Letter in Response to Sen. Levin's lies

I'm pleased. I'd say that it's a start. I'm still gonna buy a new Remington for dumping him, and let them know why I bought it. That doesn't mean necessarily that I won't encourage Rem and others to re-hire him for making amends. If his conversion is genuine and permanent (not totally sure yet), then we should all make the same outcry in his support that we did for his ouster, because we need every convert and every friend with a voice we can get!

Marko said it well, yes....

His comment here:

It is clear to me that the supporters of this legislation don't want to stop criminals. They want to invent new ones out of people like me, and many of you, and your constituents, friends, neighbors and members of your families. They will do anything they can, go to any extremes they believe necessary, to make it impossible for more and more American citizens to legally own any firearm.

Reminded me of another quote ...

"Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with."

I've been reading Zumbo for years and generally liked his stuff. He made a huge mistake and paid for it big time. It's not up to me to forgive him, looks like he's found the right path and I support his efforts. Go for it Jim!

Novel idea, why don't all of us gun owners get off our lazy wait for someone else to do it hind ends and write our own letter's to anyone and everyone who is in the authority of power and protest the potential gun ban and every other gun law running. If we could only figure out as gun owners how to stand together, we as a group would show a great force of power. Just think about it, say if every gun owner in America wrote their congressman and senators, there would be a flood of mail so deep it would take years for the reciepents to read them. We need to stand as one great body and voice period. And in the amount of time it took to write this and read the rest of this thread I myself could have written my own letter. I think that is what I'll do next.
