Zastava M70A

Ask him if his Toks come with the goodies mentioned (holster, lanyard, cleaning rod) which they should. These guns were all pretty much imported with these accessories.

I think the max I'd give is $250 for it. If he says no, go the other way. You can probably find one on Gunbroker for that price.

They are solid, very reliable and powerful pistols. I do not reload for 7.62x25mm, I just buy it when I can for cheap. I don't shoot the gun all the time but when I do it's a hoot. You won't be disappointed.

As for the M44 Mosin, they're good guns but for me the novelty wore off rather quickly. The recoil is unpleasant, they often have bad triggers, accuracy won't be up to par with a modern rifle, and the ammo is now actually MORE expensive than steel-cased .308 Win. The Mosin ammo is all dried up if you haven't noticed. Last year it was going for about $.20 a round. Now it's about twice that.

Yeah I wish .40 cents a round. Well I bought some commercial ammo. Out of sight at almost a buck a shot. Reloading will be a bit under .40 cents and much better accuracy. (i hope) LOL At least I have the brass to reload. If I can't find a recipe for a load I won't shoot it much either. I found some jacketed loads but would like to find some cast loads.

Not sure about the accessories but I think not. This is a new contact to me so I'm a bit cautious. I picked up a Bulgarian Makarov online. Great pistol and it came with the accessories.

Hey how does the power of the Tok compare with a 10mm?

Thumbs, this is my Romanian TTC Tokarev:

It is most awesome. As far as power goes, a 10mm has more muzzle energy but the 7.62x25mm has more penetration. It is a very high velocity cartridge for a handgun, moving at easily 1500 FPS and above. It punches through stuff really well, including light body armor and cover.

The 10mm is fatter and heavier and has more energy, but due to the larger bullet diameter it doesn't penetrate as well. Plus, the 7.62x25mm has surprisingly low recoil due to the lightweight bullet it fires.

I think you want/need one brother. Up to you but they're a riot.

Oh I think one is on the list for sure. The reason I ask about the two cartridges is hiking and dirt biking in the west. After reading about the Tok I got to thinking it may not be a bad bear round. Ok extremely low chance of a problem esp on the bike but better than a pointed stick. Considering the penetration of the round it may be a good choice. My best protection is making a lot of noise while hiking. But I feel better with at least something. I use a 44mag now but it's pretty heavy.
