Zarqawi Dead In Bombing Raid !!!

They were also confirmed reports on another dozen times we killed him too. Its going to take sometime to work out, especially since a hellfire is going to leave little evidence behind and requires an autopsy and investigation to if they killed the right man.

I wonder if its true who they will make the next boogeyman to blame everything on when things don't improve.
 
Just watched the press conference from Iraq. General Casey confirmed Zarqawi is dead. He has been identified.

I am glad this guys is in heaven with his virgins and nonalchoholic spiritual wine. Hope that this gives us and the folks a break in Iraq that we need. However, time usually decides that.

Now observe what happens over the coming months in Iraq. It will demonstrate why killing/ capturing terrorist leaders does nothing to stop the spread of terrorism.
 
Unfortunately I agree with you. Just wait and see how many roadside bombs go off in these next few months. I am glad they "got" al-Zarqawi but I don't think his little insugent buddies will just surrender now.

Regardless of the future direction of the conflict, I'm just glad the [insert inappropriate epithet of your choosing here] is dead.
 
The news said that Zarqawi was essentially the most wanted terrorist in the world.

Fox is saying that the killing blow was delivered by an F16, dropping two 500 pound smart bombs. JDAM probably (GBU-30).
Nice to see a weapons system that works as advertised :)
 
Which means that there was probably a Soldier on the ground spotting with a laser device. Do not know for sure but that is usually how it happens to make sure its dead on.
 
Most new precision ordnance is GPS guided. However, LGMs are still used as well.
Don't start wringing hands already in fear of future "reprisals". It is expected. The fact is, it is a huge boost politically and operationally. In the Iraq, this will create more HUMINT sources for us.
At times like this, a little celebration is good for the soul and spirit.
 
He wasn't that big of a deal anyway(a talentless, untrained fool who knew how to work the media), the insurgencies most likely will continue for however many are still alive... they sure don't have much more time to do their dirty deeds though

It makes me ill the media even gave this piece of human garbage any recognition at all.

But one less of these guys is always good:D
