Your next priority: What's on YOUR personal wish list?

quote:
You know, it's sort of embarrassing to air your priorities for public consumption.[/quote]

That's myself, in my last post in "hearing loss" discussion (yes, yes, just a bit off-topic...). It got me to thinking, though: Although there are a few of you who can afford the Steyer Scouts and Blazers and the Ma Deuces and the Linebaughs and the photon-projectors with Stun-to-Kill variable effect dials (or whatnot), most of us are a bit more frugal, and are so because we're on a bit more fixed of an income.

Consequently, we prioritize. We make decisions not based soley on what we want, but also on what we can afford. While I want a Steyer Scout, I'm probably going to buy a Savage. While I want a Linebaugh custom, I'll probably buy a stock Ruger Super Blackhawk. Get the picture?

So what's on your plate for the Next Three Purchases? In order of importance, &/or of attainment, please. Mine runs something like this:
Having my shot-out Springfield bored-out to .358 (in effect, obtaining a .35 Whelen). (priority: 2)
Purchasing a Keltec P-32 pocket pistol. (priority: 3)
Purchasing a Lyman .58 cal percussion muzzle-loader (Great Plains). (priority [today]: 1)

In that order. $ figures, but also need, and whatever happened to seem tasty (and attainable) that day.

This should be interesting.

1.)Chrony chronograher
2.)Winchester .38/.357 Lever Action
3.)The Smith and Wesson model 19 that will preclude 1 and 2, that usually shows up when I look for a planned purchase.

ok well,
the first 3 things i can afford that will be banned by SB23 its that simple the law will steer my buying

------------------
It ain't mah fault. did I do dat?

# 1 is that SB 23 be found unconstitutional. Even though I live in Texas, this is one law we can do without.

# 2 Gillian Anderson eating an ice cream cone in my lap.

I've been planning for months to get a Mossberg 590 with all the trimmings, It will be my second gun (first is an AR).

September 15th seems sooooo far away....argh

Currently saving my pennies for

S&W Model 66, 4", just because it was the first non-rimfire handgun I fired, and dammit, I just want one.

Winchester 94 30/30, my mom's rifle, sitting forlorn in a closet, at a guaranteed good deal. Nice to keep this one in the family.

Maybe a GPS, but this is pretty far down my list of "toys", since I'm in the house market, and all the myriad of costs that's going to require.

Phillip, re: your #2, I like the way you think. ;)

The pen is mightier than the sword...outside of arms reach. Modify radius accordingly for rifle.

(1) S&W Model 29 (now discontinued, so this is my last chance for a brand-new one).

(2) Beretta 92/96 Combo.

(3) SIG P245 or Glock 36 (whichever appears at the local gun shop first).

1) Find some reasonable 14 mags (like under $40.00) and get a dozen.

2) Spare parts kits - lots of spare parts kits.

3) More 7.62 NATO, 7.62 combloc, 30-06,
.45, .44 & 9mm.

I have spent too much money on guns lately, but if I EVER manage to scrape a few pennies together again <g> my first priorities will be:
1) Springfield M1A Scout 308
2) Remington 700 PSS 308
and
3) Smith and Wesson "Trail Boss" 44 Mag

I have put myself in debt buying firearms since the new year, but mybe by the end of the year I can round up:
another 1000 rds of 7.62 Nato,
a revolver my girlfriend can comfortably handle,
and a fine rifle chambered for 5.56 NATO.

All right, gentlemen, we're losing sight of our thread, here.

I said "attainable."

Last time I spoke to G. Anderson, she said she was done sitting in laps with ice cream cones, and no, you ain't gettin' a lick, anyway. (and then he woke up...)

My point is: Of that which you can get, what are you going to get?

So far, this is pretty interesting.

I liked B. Strong and G Freeman's answers!

DonL.: Don't put off the GPS-- they're incredibly fun, and make any trip more enjoyable, especially if you get a window-seat on your next air-trip. ("How fast are we going?" "Oh, 489 mph at 289 degrees at 30k ft AGL, and have gone 1223 miles from DFW." This one guy bought me three bottles of Dewar's to get to play with it one time.)

Oops! Now who's off-topic?

L.P.

In that case I will not recount my dream about G.A. and the SIG P245 she managed to carry in a very interesting manner ;)
My next purchase will be a SIG P245 or 220 two tone with NS.

OK lets see...
1. New glasses, I use Randolph Rangers, most comfortable glasses I have ever owned. Need to get my eyes checked.

2. Good Spotting Scope.

3. Lots of mags for my AR, 1911 and G30. Plus the Ammo to go with them.

1. Spitball Shooter -- "Match"(Of course)

2. A Recoil Reducer for my penis . . . (my girlfriend's request)

3. Robocop's right leg with the holster cavity . . . and I guess money for the surgery as well.

Looking at a NAA Guardian .32... I'm going to make it a range gun. Get a trigger job (3.5 lbs pull weight). Probably get Bo-Mar sights and a ported match-grade barrel fitted to the slide...

Gotcha! But I am thinking of a smaller, lighter gun for concealment. The Ti's from S&W are looking good...
