Just wondering what pistol most of you on this board depend on for self defense the most. Which one do you carry on walks, carry at work, hike in the woods with, put by your bedside etc...

Mine is a G17 and G26

Whats yours?

Thank you for your time,

Reed

Colt .45 Lightweight Commander. An older S&W Mdl. 60 is ALWAYS in my pocket in a Sparks Pocket Holster. Also carry extra ammo for both.

.45 is on my nightstand at night. J.B.

Hello. My S&W (pre-sellout) airweight J-frame is always on my person, including in the home. My bedroom gun is a SIG-Sauer P220 in .45ACP loaded with Cor*Bon Plus P JHPs. I prefer SA autos, but this one was chosen as it works very similarly to my wife's Walther PP. If I am going to carry a "real gun" on me besides the little .38, it's either a Browning 9mm or a 1911 in .45ACP. I have carried a CZ-75 (cocked and locked) when the spirit moved me, but usually either the HP or the 1911. My little .38 sees the most use, however. Best.

Sig P220 on nice days, Smith & Wesson 625-3 on ugly rainy days. Same ammunition in both, 230 grain Gold Dot HP's. These two guns are at the ready 24-7. In the woods, switch to a S&W 657 with 265 grain hand loads.

Believe it or not, my almost constant companion is my Taurus TP-22.

My bedside gun is a Beretta 92, backed up with a S&W Model 3000 12-gauge.

When I feel as if I need to carry something heavier, I go for an S&W Model 19 2.5 or 4", a Kahr K9, or an H&K P7M13.

Sig 239 when I am off duty in 357 sig and a Glock 21 when I am on duty with a Smith 37 as a back up gun. Alot of Times I just throw the 21 in a fanny pack and go.

For carry, most frequently it's a Taurus 85 Ultra Lite with five rounds of Triton.
House gun...depends which room you're in. 12 Gauge pump, or a 45 (although the handguns get rotated for this duty).

Bedside and jeeping: H&K USP45 full size with 230gr Golden Sabres

Backpacking and answering the front door with an unexpected stranger at it: S&W(pre-sellout) 342ti .38sp with +P Golden Sabres

CharterArms Undercover .38 Spl.
Bought used $100.

My $500+ .45 ACP Defender is just not reliable.

For carry on my person its a Glock 26 or 27. For carry in my truck it could be CZ75/BHP/G19 or Winchester Trapper 30/30.

H&K USP40 full size, only one I own thus far.
Fits my hand like a glove and I like the full size.

P.S. you guys have to many guns, I will take some of them off yer hands :-)!!!!

Sig 229 .40 about 50% of the time. The rest of the time, a Glock 26 .

A Kahr MK9 will nearly always be carried as soon as I break it in properly.

The only one I have ever had to point at a human in self defense is a Smith model 19 4-inch .357 Magnum. He quit trying to pry the window open and ran like hell.

Living deep in the Florida swamps, deep concealment is always a consideration because of how hot & himid it is dowm here. Most of the time my CCW is a Kahr MK9. On "cooler" days, I switch to a Smith & Wesson 3913TSW.
