Hoover is a Rippin pilot if there ever was one. The faa decides he will never fly for U.S. Spectators because some wimpy $#it in the faa feels threatened by Bob's certainty in his abilities! God let me fly with that man...just once!

Hmmmm... The Happy Bottom Riding Club. Pancho Barnes was really something. Yeager may be a grouch, but I'd sure like to meet Bud Anderson.

I have a VHS tape that chronicles the 357th FG. Some fantastic footage in it.

pittspilot - You have SOME day job! :D Tumbling and tail slides are fine. It's those outside loops that give me the dry heaves just thinking about.

Actually the manuevers that bother me the most are the inverted flat or accelerated spins, like being in a clothes dryer. Pushing actually is never that much fun. Also outside snap rolls sting somewhat.

I actually wish that Hoover would give up airshow flying. He is getting too old, he must be 80 now. When you watch his airshow routine you can tell that he has slowed if you have been watching him for a while. Don't get me wrong, I admire him immensely, and he can fly, that I could fly like he does at 80, ever. It's just that airshows are dangerous and I don't want to see him die that way. I already have too many friend who have died in airshows or hurt themselves. The french connection, wayne handley, red baron squadron, and a number of others. Airshow flying is like running down a hot range, you can do it, but you better make NO mistakes, which is why I don't do it.

The man in airshow flying is either Shawn Tucker, another great guy, or Jimmy Franklin, man does he fly low. I love to watch but sometimes I have to look away.

#1 Jesus Christ for obvious reasons.

#2 Meriwether Lewis and/or William Clark, to hear firsthand the experiences that they had would be awesome.

Rosie O'Donnel and Tho. Jefferson.
Just sit back and enjoy.

I'd pick Adolph Hitler. How much of a monster was he really? Or was he just another damn politician who got his own way so often he started to think he was God?

Got to along with paratrooper on Hitler and I would like to add Stalin. I cannot understand the mind that could orchestrate the death of millions of people and yet sleep at night or look at himself in the mirror.
