Your favorite?

My favorite is my HK USP Compact 9mm for a couple of reasons. It was the first handgun I ever bought, fits my hand like a glove, big enough for me to carry on duty, small enough for me to carry concealed and has over 60K rounds through it without a single malfunction...I couldn't ask for more in a handgun.

Hand gun: any S&W 357 magnum
Shot gun: any pump action 12 ga
Rifle: I like the 30-06

if I had to pick 1 caliber it would be the 357 magnum. I can load it in a small J frame or a Derringer or a Carbine and hunt deer not to mention many 6-8 shot revolvers out there or one of the fairly rare semiautomatics chambered in 357 magnum.

Mine is my CCW. I'm different than most. Most want a gun for protection that they wouldn't care to lose, but I want the best gun I have for protection. If it saves my life and I lose it, I can always get another.

All of my handguns are in my sig. I can say that I love all but one of them at this point. I like my Gen 4 Glock 17, but I can't say I love it. I think it's a very good gun, but it seems sort of soulless to me at this point. Maybe I'll grow to love it with a few more trips to the range.

My favorite semi-auto is easily my first Beretta 92FS. I love my P229, Hi-Power, and so on, but nothing gets my semi-auto shooting passions stirred like my Beretta. I'm crazy about my new INOX, too, but it hasn't been around long enough to pull even with my older 92FS.

My current favorite revolver is a blued S&W Model 57 (no dash) with an 8 3/8" barrel. A few months ago it was my Python. They'll probably trade places again. My Freedom Arms Model 83 is the finest handgun I own, but I don't shoot it enough to have the same affection for it that I do for these two other revolvers.

The firearm you have used in actual combat will always be your favorite. Until that time, the question is rhetorical.

Bizarre post. There's nothing "rhetorical" about the question. I'm not even sure what you think that means. People who have not used guns in combat, and who will never do so, are still capable of having a favorite gun.

I guess I would have to say my sig pro 2340 . Its the only handgun I own .
I will be buying more somday soon but I need to get back to work before I spend money on more toys. Gotta keep food on the table first.
