Come to think of it, just about ANY blued-steel Smith & Wesson revolver made before 1990.

After 1990 it becomes kind of shaky.

After 2000? No thanks.
 
My S&W 686 357 Mag 6" and 629 44 Mag 6 1/2" - both revolvers are incredibly accurate.

My Ruger Single-Six - a very fun gun even when it had the creepy trigger - even better now that the trigger has been worked on. This gun rarely stays home when I head to the range.
 
Hard to say on the SA v. DA question as I only have DA cartridge revolvers (except for a blackpowder replica). I truely enjoy shooting all of my revolvers (well, except for my small framed snub so I guess that makes 2 of 3) and even most rentals. I LOVE revolvers.

I love my SA blackpowder revolver (Remington 1858 New Army replica) but that is a totally different animal altogether. The SA shot, deliberately pulling back the hammer (with the very substantial CLICKs involved), is just fun. The cloud of soot and smoke is just fun. But it is a lot of work so I don't shoot more than three or four cylinders out of it at a time (and only one nearby indoor range allows it and that is the one that is farthest away, so I don't shoot it very often either). I am tempted to get a SA centerfire revolver to partially duplicate it and reloading equipment to load blackpowder cartridges so it is easier to shoot more blackpowder (though I'd still be stuck with the one indoor range).

Favorites- all except my little J-frame equivelent Taurus 605. I don't think I can decide between them (though for practicality, if I could only have one it would be my 3", K-frame, S&W 65LS in .357).

Ever since I picked up my SP101 3" .357 in June I try to shoot everyday I'm off work even if it's only 5 rounds. I shoot in SA and DA. Man I enjoy shooting that gun!:D
