your choice

New production , or old in good shape, S&W model 66 ,
Classic K frame in 357 magnum, it just doesn't get much better than that.

In a small revolver you want light and compact. A short barrel will do the trick for concealment. An alloy will allow easy weight carry. However, it's what's in the chamber that counts.

Tough choice. I have it narrowed to Smith. I just have a special place in my heart for their revolvers.

For CC, I would roll with a Model 19/66 for a little less weight than the L frame. For my idea of the sexiest gun ever, a L frame 686.

FWIW, I own 2. A 686-1, 4" that was my first police service gun from 1994 to 1999, and a 686PC (slabsided, 2.5", 7X gun) that I bought about a year ago. I carry the 4" deer hunting on occasion and carry the 2.5 on occasion.
