At my headboard is the p220. 15-20 seconds would allow me to charge the AR, It could take a minute or longer to "unlock" my 12ga.

I get regular practice getting the AR up and running because of the coyotes in the back field...

Hold on there slick, don't shoot me, stab me, or rape my wife. I have to get my hearing protection on before I can shoot!

You guys are funny :). I'm not saying I would have time or remember to use hearing pro, but it doesn't hurt to have that option, does it? My choice of caliber, however, has zero effect on my reaction time and can very possibly make a difference in my ability to make follow up shots. Knocking yourself out of the fight because you chose a .357 snubby doesn't seem to be a good outcome to me.

There are plenty of TFL members who regret making a single shot w/o hearing pro and have suffered for years as a result.

12 guage handgun?

I don't know what I missed, but I didn't even know there was a decent 12 guage handgun.

Not that I'd want it, the recoil would be murder...
