Your CCW for any occasion

When I want something easy I use my Kahr CW9. When I want something easy but bigger I use my Sigma 9mm or the Sigma 40s&w.

carry

I carry my Glock 19 or my Bersa CC .380. When I travel, I bring both guns. I left the .380 home once and I missed it. My Bersa CC just fits so well in my pocket, there is no reason not to bring it with me.

Winter, spring, summer and fall, these are the two that answer the call.

Man, that was corny. :D

Seriously, AZ heat or winter, these two ride along. Only thing I change is holsters.

I have a lot of handguns. I hunt, target shoot, plink, and collect. But my ccw is an LCP year around, day and night. I'v shot skunks at 30yds with it and if it is ever called on for BG dispatching I'm confedent in it. It is not noticed and is always at hand. It doesn't pull down my pants, or poke me in the ribs. This may not be the choice for a LEO but it fits my nitch. As a rule I prefer to shoot single action guns, but the fact that it does not need a safety makes it a good fighting gun. In a gunfight it is important to put the first bullit on your adversary not shoot tight groups. As for you .380 bashers, I live in cattle country and have put down a cow with it, so I trust it and Hornady to protect me and my family if needbe. If you are looking for a ccw for youself, you need to look at your wardrobe and find what fits your needs. Sometimes the holster you pick may be a more difficult choice than the wepon itself.

Texas has three seasons ... almost summer, summer and Christmas ... it's been over 100 here for more than 60 days this summer, so I pretty much pocket carry most of the year, either a Kahr PM9 or a Smith j-frame 637. When it finally cools off (into the 80s) and I can wear something besides cargo shorts and a tank top, I carry a Kimber UCII in a strong-side belt holster, either kydex paddle or a DeSantis Mini Slide ...

Smith and Wesson 640 with small CT laser grips about 90 percent of the time. Occassionally something else as the mood hits me but I do find myself using a G26 a reasonable amount of time.

You see the absolute last thing I ever want to do in life is hurt much less kill anybody so with the glock I figure it is ugly enough to send evil running in terror like a garlic talismon to a vampire. Heck I recoil at the little pug. :D

at work i usually have a keltech p32 in my pocket. Any other time most of my carrying goes back and forth between a 340pd and a taurus pt145.

Every Day Carry - 2" 357 sp101
Days when I'm taking the family into the woods - 4" 44mag Redhawk
When going into known high risk situations - 5" 45acp S&W 1911

I've got a whole bunch of guns. But for carry it typically boils down to:

deep cover/hot weather: Kahr PM9
regular: Kimber Compact Aluminum frame

If either of those are down, I've got plenty of alternatives (Kahr MK9, Kahr K9, Kahr K40, Kimber Compact Steel frame, 3 different fullsize 1911s, Delta Elite, Glock 23, Glock 34, etc., etc.). But 99% of the time it is one of the two listed above.

Year round:

Glock 22 or Glock 27

If I'm in a hurry, I grab my S&W 649 in my pocket, Though I may get a Kahr pm40 for those occasions.

I'm a 9mm fan I either have a S&W M&P 9c or S&W allied force sigma, I can shoot the sigma as good as the M&P + a Ruger P95 Got to get a holster for it

Glock 19, Milt Sparks Summer Special II holster, and a Wilderness Instructors 5-stitch belt.

Sig P226, M-Tac IWB holster, and a Wilderness Instructors 5-stitch belt.

Depends on my mood.

Yeah, it depends.

Sure, I could concentrate on one, but I do like the flexibility . . .

Usually, a 642 in a Mika pocket holster.

Sometimes that is replaced with a Rohrbaugh R9 or a Steyr S9 or a Steyr M357 in a K&D Pocket holster.

Sometimes I prefer my Para Carry-12 .45 on my hip. Well, whenever I can, actually.

And all of them work just fine in my Coronado vest, when it is cool enough to get away with that.

Mix & match is fun!

95% of the time, I carry a Rohrbaugh 9mm.... it's exactly the same size as my old Kel-Tec P-3AT but it's a 9mm. It's small enough to never have to worry about concealment. The other 5% of the time I carry my 1911.
