Yet, Another Way To Hammer on Rosie

Here is what I sent:

"To whom it may concern,

I have decided to refrain from watching this year's Tony Awards show due to your selection of Rosie O'Donnell as host. It disappoints me that your organization would select someone to host your show who has become so divisive of the American public. The Tony Awards and their celebration of theatre are an important part of American culture, however I happen to believe that the right to keep and bear arms also is an important part of American culture. Unfortunately, your host has developed quite a hypocritical position on the subject and as a result, I refuse to support her or her sponsors in any way. I will inform my family and friends of your unfortunate choice and encourage them to also find something better to do while your broadcast is taking place.

I truly hope that in the future you will begin to consider the political positions of your hosts so I can return to being a follower and supporter of the Tony Awards once again.

Sincerely,

[signed]"

Done,

Posted this:
quote:
I was severely disappointed to see that the host for this years Tony awards is going to be someone as controversial as Rosie O'Donnel. Due to your choice I regret to inform you that neither I, my family, nor my friends, will be watching this years Awards.

Furthermore, I, my family, and my friends will be contacting the sponsers of this years awards, and informing them of our decision. I will be reminding them that I as a consumer will take it as a personal affront should they continue to support TV programming featuring Ms O'Donnel, and will avoid purchasing or using their products should they continue to do so.
Ms O'Donnel has placed herself into a controversial position on her own volition. There are over 80 Million gun owners in the U.S. and if you think that doesn't carry some serious consumer clout ask Smith and Wesson. Your continued use and support of Ms. O'Donnel tells me that you support her and are all to willing to take the repercussions that go along with using her as your host. Thank you for your time.[/quote]

...“ They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” --Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759.

Whereas, to preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them; nor does it follow from this, that all promiscuously must go into actual service on every occasion. The mind that aims at a select militia, must be influenced by a truly anti-republican principle; and when we see many men disposed to practice upon it, whenever they can prevail, no wonder true republicans are for carefully guarding against it.
