These loons never seem to encounter armed citizens. Perhaps concealed carrying Americans are not as prevalent as the antis claim.

The latest news is that a fourth person died as a result of this monster's crime.

Three Dead in Suburban Pa. Shootings

McKEES ROCKS,PA. (AP) -- Three people were killed and at least one wounded Friday in shootings at two suburban Pittsburgh shopping centers and in two nearby communities. A suspect was in custody.
Two people were shot to death at a Chinese restaurant at the Plaza at Robinson Town Centre in McKees Rocks. A third person was shot and killed at a martial arts school in a Monaca shopping plaza about 18 miles northwest of McKees Rocks, said a Beaver County dispatcher who would not give his name.
Scott Township police in nearby Carnegie said a third person was wounded at an undisclosed location there. Gunfire was also reported in Mount Lebanon.
Vinh Truong, a cook at the Ya Fei Chinese Cuisine restaurant in McKees Rocks, said his brother-in-law was killed.
Truong was in the kitchen when an employee ran from the front of the restaurant, telling everyone to escape. Instead, he left the kitchen and saw his brother-in-law on the floor.
''I see my brother Tony on the floor,'' said Truong, who did not give the man's full name. ''I tell everybody 'Somebody shot Tony.'''
The Beaver County dispatcher said a suspect was arrested in Ambridge, about 6 miles southeast of Monaca and 16 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. No further details of the shootings or arrest were immediately available.
Linda Ross, a spokeswoman at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, said a 25-year-old man injured in Carnegie was in critical condition, wounded in the upper back and neck.
 
Some time ago in another thread, I warned you that these killings would continue with greater frequency until Comrad Klinton gets the gun control laws that he wants.
A speculation on how phone calls to congressional members go is as follows:
Operator: "Please hold for the President."
Bill: Congressman ... You know that these gun killings have gotten way out of hand. We have got to come together to put a stop to it. As you know, I have had some common sense ideas up at the hill for some time now. Now, The Attourney General has assured me that gun killings will continue to take place at a rate of about one a month until we take action to remove a lot of guns from the streets. You know, the blood of all these innocent people will be on your hands.
Oh, and by the way, your file makes for some interesting reading. It would be a shame if some of these facts got out to the media. You know, leaks do happen. please act to save our children."

A conspiracy of that size, which strikes repeatedly, would eventually be uncovered (probably sooner than later).

All these guns here in Pa so freely available and people are STILL getting shot, go figure.

Can't our politicians see sense, if only everyone here carried guns, even the cross-eyed and the insane, there would be absolutely no shootings. All my family carry guns except the dog, we did attempt to equip his whizwang with a strap on .22 Derringer but his fondness for fire hydrants raised an unpleasant ricochet issue with our near neighbors. Even my grandmother who is in a rest home carries, she has a Robar custom 454 Casull cut down to a 2" Bbl, she found the standard 6" barrel interfered with her colostomy bag when she carried strong side. She handloads her own cast 300 gr bullets in her room using a Dillon Senile-Away die & press rig, recoil is a tad on the heavy side as she will load above SAAMI specs. (the little cutie), but as she lost all feeling in her hands a few years back, it isn't bothersome. She did once shoot her wig in a low light engagement one morning last fall when she was startled out of her sleep as a result of violently passing gas, but her marksmanship was beyond reproach, double tap in the x-ring, fortunately she woke none of the other residents as their hearing aids were all in the charger.

Hey, it may be crazy, but why should I be the odd one out.

Why is this even a newsworthy event? More people die every day from car wrecks than from shootings, but it takes a pretty spectacular car wreck to make national news.

I don't know, maybe, in the long run, this media fascination with shootings will help us get shall-issue CCW passed everywhere. But I'm not holding my breath.

Do you think it could be that one is an everyday accident and the other is a deliberate attempt to commit mass murder.

Most people would consider the latter to be more newsworthy, but I will agree that both are now daily events.
 
Re the shootings in the Pittsburgh area today, I guess it will not be to long before we are all treated to another episode of LIP BITING ALA CLINTON.

I wonder as to what the import of his constant lip biting might really be, perhaps it has some relationahip to the constant rolling of steel balls, by the skipper of the navy ship portrayed in the Caine Mutiny.
 
What we have here, callous as this may sound, is 'disgruntled dude gets pistol, whacks three, is killed by cops, end of story.'. Ten years ago, even eight years ago, this would not have been national news. In a nation of 250,000,000 a triple murder is barely noticeable in the crime statistics white noise. Unless you have a reason to loudly draw attention to any crime committed with a firearm in order to further a certain shared agenda among media organizations. My standard response now to anyone saying "Did you hear about the shooting in..." is "No, and I don't care to hear about it. Thank You.". Who is this Mike H. character, anyway? I laughed so hard at his post I had to clean my keyboard...

Jeff,
1) Never underestimate the power of FBI files in the hands of a scoundrel.

2) An evil entity the size of the US Government can do anything, and hide it as long as it wants.
Just try to get into Area 51. This fact is independant of the UFO question.

3) Example #2 Black men infected with syphillis, and refused treatment just so our wonderful government could track the cource of the desease over time. This was done during the 30's, I believe, and we are just now hearing about it?

OK, I must be paranoid, but whenever the polls are going our way, whenever there is legislation for gun control that will surely be defeated, whenever Clinton can't seem to get his gun control agenda moving, something like this happens:

It's always a middle-class white male (stereotype) bigot with a gun...

He goes after minority groups (Asian, black, Jew in the above example).

And we get stuck with more gun control (even our supports will back away from a pro-gun stance in light of the bad PR)

Sounds like a conspiracy to me...

There are unfortunately a lot of bigots who go psycho with just that profile. Or groups of organized losers who use racism to boost their
failed lives.

Don't tell me they don't exist because I have been threatend by such scum and have seen them threaten others.

While there are plenty of antis out there,
don't ignore the nuts in a RKBA fervor fit.

Last gun show I went to had one failure of humanity selling patches that said:

Kill all Fags, Now!

You can chalk it up to whatever you want to, but Bill Clinton is completely capable of something like this. Did these kinds of killing sprees happen with such frequency prior to him taking office? Is it just because the media is being pushed to report it?

I can't, and won't, believe everything I read, but I do have my own opinions. One of them is: Bill and Hillary, in order to gain and maintain political power, will do ANYTHING, including murder, mind-control, and monkey-f******.

I used to be wary of government, but pretty much respected those who were in it. Now, I can more clearly see that only a precious few represent us, and it is terrifying.

While not a card-carrying member of the "New World Order / Black Helicopters" crowd, more and more I'm believing a conspiracy is afoot.

WestTexas and Denfoote, you both have very insightful points. Heck, if journalism was a musical play, we would be building up into a crescendo at this very moment.

TMoney, I'm on the same sheet of music with you. As crooked as this administration has illustrated itself to be over the past 8 years, there is no reason why it couldn't be holding the "artist's palette," in painting this new landscape. Read between the lines.

I guess one of the most important things that we can do in terms of RKBA is to not become "paralyzed" by all of the bad news that we hear. We must continue to remember all of the good, productive people who have been SAVED by the presence of a firearm.

Re - frequency of pre-Clinton era spree shootings.

I think you first have to define just what would be a spree shooting/ gun rampage and what would not be. Fer instance, the California street battle began as a noisy bank robbery and ended in a firefight. The two losers who initiated the festivities started shooting at civilians and police after escaping from the bank, not precisely the type of swift undramatic getaway many robbers seek. I wouldn't include that incident as a spree shooting but your mileage may vary.

Spree shootings seemed to be directed at human beings or institutions (synagogues and Jewish cultural facilities being high on the list).

On the otherhand, you have carjackers/robbers who, after pulling the one job off, pursue mass shootings in a local or multi-state zone.

There were quite a few spree shootings in the Reagan/Bush era. One of the most famous was when that load, Hubberty (?) who shoot his way into a California McDonalds. I think there were some schoolyard shootings. Not to mention assassination attempts that included nontargets (the Hinckley incident).

Maybe the most famous civilian self defense shooting circa the Reagan/Bush era was the Bernard Goetz incident in NYC and the poor chap was roasted by media as a racist.

Civilian self defense incidents with or without firearms, though prevalent and documented by local news media, rarely make the national headlines like these sickening sprees do. This "suppression" has been a topic in The Firing Line and other forum sites.

On the one hand, consider that national media attention could really overwhelm the citizen, who just would want to pull his/ her life together after the act of self defense. However, if legitimate acts of self defense were rammed down public and politician throats (even such acts that ended with no violence), they could go far in countering some of the bad publicity the antis (civilian groups, bureaucrats, media) milk from tragic sprees.

Hmmm ... we just had this news item on TV here tonight.

The footage was accompanied by a voice-over from "the talking head" (newscaster). No "live" sound was used ---- except for one "bite", which was some woman screeching, "Get rid of the guns! Get rid of ALL the guns!".

End footage -- return to "talking head", who raises one eyebrow significantly, shakes head and says, "Hmmm", before going on with next item.

Economically based crime is one motivation
for attacks on folks for their poverty.

There are folks also motivated and driven by mental illness, racism and other forms of ethnic hatred, personal disputes, etc.

One glaring weakness of the RKBA folk is too go off into nutso land and see conspiracies.
This dude will turn out to have problems and they will be related to some focus on racial issues.

To say that the government planned this, blah blah - is really to weaken our cause as you make us sound like fools.

I'm sure the FBI sent bigots to threaten me
to weaken the RKBA. Yeah, right.

Now the over reaction to this incident to the media can be dealth with in a rational fashion.

One thing I would say is that as a member of a minority group, I need the right to possess firearms to protect myselves from such folks.

Like the *******s selling Nazi, antiblack, antigay hate crap at the gun shows.

Don't see that at the coin show, the collectible show - see it at the gun show.

I've seen pigs throw cinder blocks through the homes of ethnic folks almost hitting a little boy who was asleep.

Did the FBI and Janet Reno do that?

Just for suppositions sake. What if it were proven there were a conspiracy of involvement between criminal elements of our society, and a certain undisclosed agency who represents the government.

What kind of criminal elements? Street gangs in WDC who decide to shoot at each other in a zoo, of all places. A ZOO!! Do you honestly see gangers in a zoo? And on top of that, they start shooting at each other, and none of them are hit, but they sure seem to throw a lot at bullets at the kids, and some adults with them.
Come on, how damn obvious does it have to be?

This latest shooting incident :confused: seems to be slated as a anti-Chinese gun freak on the rampage.

Any bets where the next shooting spree will occur?
How about at a baseball game, or a soccer event, or 4th of July Parade in somewhere, USA. I see this a as a very real possibility.
That way the Prez can gain the most frevor in his race to "win" his common sense rule of the Amerikan masses.

I will have to grudgingly admit that some (though far from all) of these recent sprees have had a sort of "Reichstag Fire" flavor to them. Although our mentally handicapped Dutch anarchists have been caught with zippo in hand, there's a creepy feeling that it has someone else's monogram on it.

Of course there's the alternate explanation... 25% increase in frequency, 75% increase in media coverage. I mean, come on, nowadays if some convenience store stickup artist whacks someone while grabbing the loot and uses a GUN to do it, it's prime time news break/page one headlines nationwide. You can shoot 2 people today, while committing an actual, you know, crime and get more national ink than the Atlanta child murders of 20 years ago did. Almost as though there were some sort of agenda...
