Would your wife do this for you?

Wingspar. Don't worry too much about your LOP for the time being. I may have this all wrong, as I am not much more than a newbie, but if you stand more erect instead of scrunching forward over onto your stock a few things happen. This assumes that you are looking straight down the barrel rib inn your video.

Not only will your recoil pad slide up towards the top of your shoulder, but you will find that that the distance between your right thumb and the bridge of your nose will increase. You may or may not find that you still need to lenghten the LOP, but leave that alone for now.

I think I have this much correct. If not Dave McC or any of the veteran shooters please feel free to correct me. I will only cry a little.

LOP is down on my list of things to try. Probably at the bottom. I didn’t realize I was scrunching forward, but the other day I did a video of a new gun that is definitely short on LOP. I did some of the video from behind me, and I was definitely scrunching over. Looked funny. That’s probably a habit I’ve had all my life. Just never showed up till I shot a shotgun. That will probably take some work to fix.

Was at the range a couple of days ago, but it got dark before I got to the shotgun, so I still haven’t shot it since the last video I linked to. I did order a shooting vest which I should have sometime next week. If that doesn’t help enough, the vest has a shoulder pocket for extra padding.

My wife doesn't care for guns in any way, shape or form. She respects my love for the hobby though. At Christmas time she bought me a pair of BCM Gunfighter Charging Handles, 1000rnds of 5.56, and even got my mother-in-law to buy me buckshot.

Even if she didn't, I wouldn't trade her for any other on the planet. A major keeper!
