sure why not.. Just use a holster, there are millions of good ones. Inside the waist band without a hoster is only for the guys who rob quicki marts.:D

Nearly every day - Kahr P9 Covert. Round in chamber. Kahrs are DAO, and there is no hammer drawn back behind them - just like a revolver. Always in a holster, though.

Safety

Carry a Glock 30 chambered for the last 2 years in a Galco IWB holster. As far as I'm concerned a manual safety is just another thing to remember when you need to fire under stress. Get a good holster that covers the trigger and has manual retention (clip, snap ect.).

I have never robbed a Quicki Mart....

I would normally agree but the Glocks I own were issued by the NYPD and they both have the NYPD 2 trigger spring, even w/o a holster this baby aint' firing unless you PULL that trigger :D

It (the pull)doesn't bother me but it certainly won't fire w/o real intent. I really don't mind the heavy pull for self-gefense guns. I have just removed the NYPD2 trigger on one of the Glocks and THAT gun will be handled differently when the new spring is ordered.

At this time I own 8 hand guns,

and only two of them have manual safeties.
If you know how to safely and properly handle any gun than you don,t necessarily need to have a manual safety.

No offense intended , I didnt believe or mean to imply that u robbed quicki marts, I was just goofin around. But If u interviewed all the guys that pull hold ups, Im guessing very few use holsters. As far as NYPD spring go in from what I hear they r pretty heavy, around 12 pounds i believe in the glocks. question NY also carries Smith and Wesson DAO (heavy springs) and I have heard Sigs as well. If you have an option for a Sig do they put heavy springs as well? Back to the holster thing. Im sure it will stay in the waist band But just by chance if it falls out, the scene that will be made by bystanders and possibly the police is not worth it. Also u can be sure most the bystanders will be whining Antigunning treehuggers.

Be safe out there

When maximum concealment is needed, I always carry my Glocks with out holsters. It's the only way. Holsters just add too much bulk!

You betcha!

Do it all the time, with my Sig-Sauer P220 and P228.:D  :)

I'm from the cocked and locked school. Carrying my G27 still makes me feel uneasy. I didn't want to restrict to Glocks only, and have never carried anything except that Glock and 1911/USP.

I can see how a DA handgun would be less hairy to CCW... but the fact that the firing pin of the Glock is under partial spring pressure without a manual safety gives me the willies. I still carry my Glock, but it feels like very hot potato - guess it's nice because I'm extra-cautious.

And absolutely, the best safety is between the ears.

3 Glocks, a Ruger GP100, and my most recently acquired Taurus Model 66(7shot .357mag). While the Taurus has the PC lock, I threw the key in the safe, and it will collect more dust than any firearm I own. Only weapons I own with safeties, is a Marlin 795 22lr, Mossy/Remington Shotguns, and my Springfield 1911(which I carry now, cocked and locked of course).

My friends have seen my Springfield, say its gonna go off on me some day, etc. Yes it is, when I'm pointing it down range, and pulling the trigger.

Be safe

Manuel Safety. Por favor no, senior!!!

Considering I carry a Glock 36 with the 3.5lb connector and reduced power trigger spring, in an IWB holster, I have no problem with it!!!

In my fair city of St.Paul where police are issued Glock .40 cal., we have had one officer shoot himself in the leg and another had a negligent discharge while drawing the pistol. Both incidents within the last year or so.
