WORLD'S SLIMMEST REVOLVER! Century Arms 38-3
Please no "debate about round count" posts... I'm after information about production and/or release about this amazing niche backup. Anyone know anything??? (i've looked but can't find any definitive information) Thanks, stay safe, and God bless!

^Biff, is it sold by Century Arms International?, cuz i never heard of the Model 38-3, but i will admit that it's probably not a bad little wheelgun, but that comes from my experience with CAI products, others may have bad experiences with CAI products.

I kind of like it. I haven't been able to find many pictures even with a google search, anyone seen this puppy in the wild?

I could be wrong but this new Charter arms revolver along with the Taurus "view" just don't make any sense to me. I think of them as attention getting gimmicks.

I've seen the web site before and at that time I thought to myself, Self, what a weird design. I looked at it again and once more thought, what a weird design. I wonder if they actually plan on making and selling it or just throwing the ideal out to see who bites? Of course I'm old fashion but for the life of me, I can not see the use of such an animal, if you want slim, there's plenty of small autos to fit the bill. Don 't know, I'm a die hard revolver fan but that is just a little too much, no, let me rephrase that, that is a lot too much. That is just my opinion and like belly buttons every one has one:rolleyes:

yawn...

I fully realize that marketeers own America and continually attempt to own the thoughts and desires of us consumers (formerly known as citizens) but this is a real reach. :D

Sorry but that is stupid. Its HUGE for a 3 shot revolver... Looks like a ton of material compared to a nice j frame... does it stop working after the 3rd shot? seems like it would need some sort of material to spin the cylinder?

Innovation and creativity is fine, hey maybe I am wrong. Its nice to see new products atleast.

....And yet, no manufacturer has the foresight to develop a tiny .32 acp revolver!
Pooh pooh the .32 idea all you want, but half the guys I know would buy one for their wives/girlfriends. But, this seems too LOGICAL. Instead, saw off both ends of a big revolver (and discontinue it a few months later) or make a big 3 shot revolver, or a curved pistol.

NAA tried a mini 32 HR and the design was horrible looking. There are (no long made) SW 432s - 6 shots of 32 HR and very light. Great pocket gun.

looks like a frankenstein version of a rhino with a little bit of lcr thrown in... you couldnt pay me to buy this peice of junk...

Revolvers in .32 ACP and .25 ACP were very common in Europe 100 or so years ago. Most were of the kind often erroneously called "Velo Dog", because many guns of that type had extended cylinders and were chambered for the Velo Dog cartridge. There were European cartridges for small revolvers, but when the .32 and .25 ACP cartridges came into common use for auto pistols, it was logical for revolver makers to use them also. The fact that both rounds are semi-rimmed made revolver use possible, especially since most of those small revolvers had rod ejectors.

Everybody knows that Simon Templar aka The Saint, had the slimmest revolver ever. A four shot one-off carried in his sock with a stiletto on the other leg.

I'm familiar with the NAA experiment. It was in .32 H&R magnum. It WAS a monstrosity.
The S&W was a standard sized "J" frame. I mean SMALL revolver-scaled to the .32 acp cartridge.
I know that .25 and .32 acp revolvers were made 100 years ago. They were tiny.
My point was that they could be made again, out of modern materials, on modern machinery.
