WorldNetDaily Exclusive - Clinton wants to 'organize' home schoolers

I worked for a year with the Kalgoorlie School of the Air as the Itinerant Teacher. In that year, I drove 60 000 kms to stations (ranches) and homes where the kids were doing correspondence or air lessons. They were taught by their parents.

Not exactly home schooling -- but damn close.

The kids were ALL well-adjusted, mature, intelligent and well-taught.

Don't dare try to tell me parents can't teach their children as well as we could in a classroom!!!!!!!!!!!

Clinton sounds just like the school board member that couldn't do one board meeting without talking about away to get my kids and another family back in school system. It is all about money and control.
If you are able,home school!

Since home schooled kids are usually better educated, more moral, and more resistant to our psychotic society, they pose a threat to liberalism/socialism, especially to nationally organized educational associations.

This means that they must be destroyed by any means possible. Look for further attacks upon home schooled kids disguised as concern for intolerant, extreme right wing and/or religious indoctrination.

My wife graduated with her BA degree and is getting her teaching credentials and her Masters degree this year. She is going to be a certified teacher and she is also smart enough to want to stay at home, and home school our kids.
There is no mystery why home school kids do so well. One of the first comments most home school kids say when they go to a public school is that "they waste so much time!". Think about how much time is wasted at school getting your books out, going from class to class etc, and that does not even account for the %80 of class time that (research shows) is spent by the teacher trying to get unruly kids to quiet down.
Home school kids get a one-on-one tutor who knows them better than anyone else and is %100 dedicated to THEIR personal education.
There are, of course other reasons as well.

One thing I get sick of is that everyone's pat answer to refuting homeschooling is that the kids won't get social experience. You mean you really want your kids socializing with the animals that run through public schools? I sure don't. And not only that, but home schoolers have banded together on the internet, just like we have here, and there are TONS of social events for home school kids to go to. If you are done with school for the day in 3 hours, that leaves the whole rest of the day to socialize. Join a soccor league, take karate, take tennis lessons, go to home school picnics and dances etc...there is plenty social occasion for home school kids.

The government has proven that they only know how to take something good and screw it up really bad.

Public schools spend THREE times as much per student than private schools and they manage to waste that much money while still providing a comparatively horrible education. The only thing gov't knows how to to do is spend way more money than the private sector, while delivering a far inferior product.

public school allows the liberal to continue
with what (they) think is correct for your
child.After school television continues the
assult on any values you may have as a family.

Specialist New was home schooled, no wonder they want to control it. Kids that think for themselves and know the constitution.

Read an article in the Wall Street Journal about home schooling. They author built up the home school legal defense association into a huge powerful lobbying machine. Not quite backing specific candidates, but coming damn close. This was about a week before Clinton's speech. HSLDA will probably become a new whipping boy for the liberals, just like the NRA. The Dems need a new witch hunt because there loosing steam on gun control. God help us.
Long before Elian, police and social workers all over the country have been knocking on the doors of home schoolers. Families have been broken apart and destroyed by the establishment and it still goes on today. Thats what made me sick when I saw our "conservative" republican law makers pining about Elian. For the most part they could care less about the constitutional rights of home school families.

A little flash: I've been involved in education for near-on 30 years now, and i only found out today that here, in Western Australia, even homeschoolers (once they're "approved" by the government) are required by law to teach a government-mandated "curriculum". If they don't, their kids go to school -- end of story.

I was totally blown away by that. It's worse even than I thought.

No doubt about it, Klinton is the mouth-piece for the unions.

God, I pray that this slim-ball that some call President (not mine however!) just goes away. I am sick of this socialistic agenda that spews out of his mouth.

My wife teaches in public school. Here in Texas 80% of the class time is spent on the TASS test. Critical thinking skills are gone, and teachers have no say in what is taught.
On the other hand, those kids in homeschool are the ones who would probably do well in any school. Point is that the parents care enough to live on less, and sacrifice to give their kids the best education possible. Kids live and die (sometimes literally) by the parents involvement.
Socialization is crap. My son doesn't need to hang out with other 5 year olds to learn how to act as a five year old. He needs to hang out with adults. We aren't in the business of raising kids. They're already kids. We are in the business of raising adults. They need more adult influence than juvenile influence. The homeschool environment is the incubator for our future citizens. The public school is the petri dish for our future subjects.

Find out just what the people will submit to and you've found out the exact amount of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them; and these will continue until they are resisted with either words or blows or with both.
