I have both 44 mag and 10mm--In terms of composed shot accuracy I do better with the 44 out of a revolver or lever gun--so for my mediocre abilities I'd say for composed intermediate range hunting shots the 44 has the advantage--but for close in SHTF being charged by a herd of angry zombie hogs and no tree is available for me to climb in less than a few seconds--I'd go with the 10mm.
