This isn't gun-related, and I feel a bit awkward, but I feel the need to cast a wide net.
My wife, Marci, is undergoing surgery for a brain tumor Monday morning. It's a meningioma of the framen magnum. The good news is that it's calcified with no vascularization (no blood supply), and we've found the pre-eminent meningioma guy in the country to do the job. The bad news is that it is partially blocking the framen magnum, is displacing the brain stem and pressing on the medula, which controls autonomic functions (i.e. breathing & heartbeat), a ticklish place to operate, to be sure. This is the second one of these she's had (first one was in 1981), and while everyhting came out more or less OK, I'm still scared spitless.
At any rate, I'm not a religious person is any organized sense, but I am spiritual and I absolutely believe in the power of prayer. I know there are many good hearts and kind spirits here, and I ask for your help - if you could hold her in your prayers and thoughts this weekend, I would truly appreciate it. Inshallah, I will be back Monday night saying all's well!
Thanks & best regards, M2
