Been looking for a decent Low Wall for rimfire cowboy silhouette shooting, and finally found one at Merz Antiques. I had thought to buy a new production Winchester/Browning/Miroku, but for the price difference it made better sense to me to just get the antique one. It should get here in a couple weeks. I'm pretty stoked.
Has an adjustable peep sight, which is a real plus for my old eyes.
Shoots 22 shorts, which won't set the barn a-blaze exactly, but the rules stipulate that the shooter must only topple the 50 yard chickens, but a full bullet strike on any of the others counts as a hit, so I reckon it won't be too much of a handicap. This of course assumes that I can actually hit the target! LOL!
Hopefully this dearth of ammo in 22 rimfire long rifle won't affect my quest for ammo in 22 short.
Question for you guys, I thought I would try the standard lead CCI ammo for it, which I found via ammoseek. Anybody have a better recommendation?
I'll post some photos once I receive it.
