That does look like a one-piece inlet.
The barrel channel gap is fine.
If you want it filled a bit, just bed the big gap near the receiver, as Paul suggested.
I wouldn't do any more than that. Well, I wouldn't do any more than bedding the action unless I had a suspicion that bedding that portion of the barrel would help down range; but one can't find out about that until shooting it fully free-floated.
