Winchester 94 current production

*bump*

Been looking at older 94’s on gunbroker and a lot of the post 64’s are going for stupid money. This begs the question, is Winchester still producing their Miroku 94? Or has Covid delayed production? I haven’t seen this for purchase anywhere.

Ohio is straight wall cartridges only for deer. Many pistol calibers but also 45-70, 45-90, 45-110, 50-90, 50-110 and others.

Spoke with a sales person at Scheels and he said it would be awhile before current production 94’s are back on the shelves. I may contact Winchester direct and see if they can give a more definitive answer.

Does anyone know where the current production Winchester 94’s are made? Are these made in Japan by Miroku?

Yes, they are made in Japan by Miroku. They are very well made.

The reality is that the Winchester 94 went out of production in 2006 when USRAC went under. What you can buy now is an expensive foreign reproduction. It's no more a real 94 than the Browning / Winchester 52 sporters are real 52 sporters.

Does anyone know when Winchester went back to making their 94 receivers out of non-sintered metal? Was it in the 90’s once FN Herstal took over?
