Will Nader Drop Out?

Supposedly Nader was offered the $12 million that his party would get in Federal matching funds for 5% of the vote. He refused them. I bet he gets attacked pretty savagely over the next few days.

As for Perot, he will be on Larry King Live tonight endorsing Gore.

By the way, has anybody noticed that the Green party platform on firearms is actually LESS wacko than the the Dem platform? Nader states that he felt the current system is fine.

If you have an environmentalist/gun owner who can't vote Bush, this is the right way to point them.

(walking out on a limb here)

I'm voting for Nader.

I live in a Republican State. (Utah) that's going 5 votes to Bush no matter what I do between now and Tue. This is good. But my vote for Bush is wasted here dogpileling Gore.

But...

If I vote for Nader then I'm helping the Greens get thier 5% for 2004. In 2004 the Greens will be back with more funding to suck votes off of the Dems. This makes my vote today a stratigic vote for 2004.

I'm not worried about the Greens. The Green party is doomed to fail. After another 4-8 years of socialism in the EU, backed by the global oil based recession I beleave we're moving into, You'll see the Europeans moving back to center. In the interm, we might be looking at the first Republican House, Senate, and Presidency since Ike, this will at first cost the Republicans the House in 2002. But the recession will have ended by 2004 and people will feel good about "4 more years". Socialism will have fallen in the West and a new golden age will decend apon mankind.

Just in time for the China/US war of 2012 :)
