I know you are thinking, "what the heck, this isn't the Jenny Craig website", but hear me out. My wife proposed to me a challenge that I couldn't refuse. Lose 15lbs and get yourself another pistol, lose 15 more and get yourself an AR-15. Wh-What?! Its on.

There are a lot of great exercises that help your shooting anyway.

Lose weight while becomeing better prepared to do better at the range.

You could be like the auction horse that keeps on coming back to it's owner, to be sold again, just keep losing and gaining that 30 pounds, should have a pretty good armory in a year or two....

Guys, before we go any further ... has anyone actually paused to think why he needs his wife's approval in the first place?

Maybe she is trying to motivate him to improve his health.

Plus, for those of us in non Saudi-Arabian relationships, mutual managing of financial assets is what is done.

And if you gain the weight back, your wife get the gun. Smart wife!

Oh, snap.

But seriously, assuming he does need to lose the weight for his health, and they do make financial decisions as a couple, i think it's a perfectly fair incentive.

So let's help the poor sucker. My advice: no grains. My husband lost 35 lbs in a month that way (and around 100 lbs after a year). It also helped resolve a lot of health issues.

I expected this kind of jabber after posting something like this. Here's the deal. I don't need my wife's permission to buy anything, but getting her stamp of approval on it makes me feel good about the purchase. Instead of getting it and having her have bad feelings towards it.

When I buy a gun i take my wife to the gun shop with me, then I start explaining why this gun is needed, explain the great features, magazine capacity, how many mags come with it, what type of accessories can be added....etc. etc .etc, until she gets bored, then she usually says go ahead and get the damn thing. Then i leave without making a purchase. explaining to her that i could find one cheaper at another shop, or i plan to search the web for a bargain. Then i return to the gun shop (by myself) and by a totally different gun that i want even more, and of course it cost more than the previous one i showed her....lol. I get home, shoot the gun, clean it, and put it in the safe, give my wife a big hug and kiss and say "thanks for the gun babe, I love you." She's happy cause i involved her in the decision making prosess, even though i got a different gun, she doesnt remember it anyways...lol. Gotta keep momma happy :)

Good luck on the weight loss. It will be worth it, plus its good for your health. I need to lose some weight too, lets see if my wife is in a deal or no deal mood. Dont let people bother you with the wife approval thing....lol. I bet they dont talk like that infront of there wifes...lol
