Why we should protect our borders, etc.

Yup, I saw this last night on his show. I wonder if the other news stations will cover it.
More things like this will have to happen before people wake up and smell the tacos. If (God forbid) there is another terrorist attack, I hope it's discovered that the perps gained access to our country by sneaking across the Mexican border, for nothing short of that will make enough of an impact on our retarded border policy makers.

A country that can't - or WON'T - secure its borders

can't - or won't - secure anything else.

Such a government is functionally worthless and ought to be replaced. :barf:

We get stronger every time an emigrant crosses the border.

We would get stronger if it were easier.

I've replaced several Americans with aliens- my favorite was the "foreman" I caught sleeping in his car.

A criminal who is an alien doesn't reflect on all aliens anymore than an American rapist reflects on all Americans.

The only people who would be swayed by either claim are those who were looking for what they already believed. Since that is very clearly the case with what many in the world believe about Americans, I'm perfectly willing to believe that it's also the case here.

Huh?
Let me get this straight. You want the borders wide open because some of your friends are illegals? I have no doubt that the majority of those that cross into the US are good people but it is the ones that prey on this country that I have a problem with, illegal or not. I grew up in Texas with a lot of very good hispanic friends and co-workers. This is a quote from The Washington Post - " About 80,000 illegal criminal aliens, including convicted murderers, rapists, drug dealers and child molesters who served prison time and were released, are loose on the streets of America, hiding from federal immigration authorities." (Here is the link if you want to read the whole article - http://www.washtimes.com/national/20040126-120103-7792r.htm )Now these fine folks are pretty much free to do whatever they want. Now if you were a criminal outside of the US and you know what everyone else knows about the US and the border, that basically you can come in easily, do your crime, and slip back across with basically no accountability, why not? If you get caught coming across, they just load you up and give you a free ride home so you can try again tomorrow. If someone wants to come over and work, then let them be accountable to our laws and economy. Let them add to the success of this country instead of just taking.

Jammer Six, you are one sorry fool.

To knowingly employ illegal aliens is unforgivable and makes you a criminal as well. I detest people like you 100X more than the people that come here illegally. YOU are the reason that they are coming here, you traitorous prick. I have no problem with responsible LEGAL immigration - that's what this country is built upon. But for you to say that this country gets stronger with every illegal that comes here, well, your head is SO far up your own keister that you're eating your lunch twice.

Do the USA a favor and catch the next plane OUT, you nation-hating bunghole. If you choose to stay, get a vasectomy ASAP. **middle finger WAY up high at you!!**

Mods, I apologize in advance for lashing out like this, but this guy is as unAmerican as they come. A true criminal.

tjhands,

I understand your sentiment, but go back and read his post. Nowhere does he say he hired illegal aliens. If he has hired illegals, then I hope he gets busted, but even that is unlikely given the current political climate.

Spotted Owl,

If he meant LEGAL immigrants, he wouldn't (or shouldn't) refer to them as "aliens." By definition, they would not be aliens - they'd be Americans. He said that he fired Americans and replaced them with aliens. I make no distinction when I hear the term "American." It may be a white, black, asian, hispanic, or whatever. If you are a legal resident, you are an American. If you are NOT here legally, you are an alien. He said that he fired AMERICANS and replaced them with ALIENS.

Here's what Jammer Six said on a thread concerning signing the petition to STOP illegal immigration into the USA:

Wouldn't sacrifice the rights necessary to do it, even if we didn't disagree on the causes and the results.

Obviously here he is talking about ILLEGAL immigration since that's what the thread is about. He's got some childish notion that illegal immigration is GOOD for this country. I'm calling a spade a spade when I say that he's a traitorous bastard who doesn't deserve to call the USA his home.

Not correct. Green card holders, who are legally allowed to work in the U.S., are known as "resident aliens".

Spotted Owl, OK...I'll concede that one, but I guarantee that he wasn't referring to green card holders. Reading the above quote by him concerning his disagreement with most of us on the causes and effects of illegal immigration, clarifies his meaning in the current thread.

Not quite. America has always had some form of citizenship requirement, while allowing some of those that have not yet met those requirements to stay and reside in America. An individual Lawfully Admitted for Permanent Residence is not an American or citizen…at least not yet. Not a thing wrong with those people, in fact I have a few friends who are LAPR’s, but they aren’t yet American’s or naturalized citizens, and referring to them as such cheapens the accomplishments of those that are naturalized Americans.

Fellas.....OK, I get it. I take back the terminology statement, OK? The point is the same regarding this guy hiring and supporting illegal immigration.

Is this what is meant by circling the wagons and firing INward?

My bad, tjhands. I wasn’t directing my comment at you although I quoted you. I was just using what you said as an opportunity to briefly explain the difference between resident aliens and citizen/Americans.

This whole alien thing means different things to different people. For people with entry-level jobs, the illegal alien issue is important because they are the ones who are losing their jobs to the illegals.

In my profession (software development) we don't worry much about illegal aliens, who seldom have the education and skills necessary to get jobs in our industry. We do have to worry about aliens here on H-1B visas. Software companies are constantly lobbying the government to expand the number of H-1B visas, even when the unemployment rate for citizens and resident aliens is 5% or greater. In my opinion, the governement should drastically curtail the number of H-1B's, or eliminate them entirely, when the unemployment rate exceeds a certain threshold.

Sheesh man, what is this? If it doesn't AFFECT me, it doesn't BOTHER me?

I haven't had a family member murdered or raped, so murder or rape doesn't really bother me.

Does THAT make any sense at all?

This is a national security risk, people! If Osama's boys get in this country via the porous border, it'll worry you then. Even if it's just illegal immigrants who suck up our medical funds and cause hospitals to raise their prices, it STILL concerns you!!

Tj:

I didn't say that. I merely said that as far as jobs go, illegal aliens don't directly affect me (and others in my profession) very much.

I am strongly against illegal immigration in general and believe the U.S. governement should interdict the flow of aliens at the border to a much greater extent than they have been doing. As a California resident, I'm well aware of all the problems illegals cause.

Agreed. What about people sneaking across the Canadian border? The Canadian border actually has checkpoints that are unmaned. There are stretches of 100s of miles that have no border patrol. I agree that we should shore up our borders. I agree that hiring illegal immigrants to work here is a bad thing to do. We should be vigilant on both borders, though. If terrorists see that we devote all of our attention to the southern border, they will just hit us from the north.

One thing is for sure. We need to be clear about this problem. Lawmakers are proposing a Nationally Registered Driver's License Base to stop illegal immigration. In my opinion, if you want to stop illegal immigration, you do it at the SOURCE. This means the borders. You don't make everyone register with a national database. If we are going to lose our civil liberties in the name of illegal immigration, we should be clear about what we are doing.
