At some point, instead of bitching about it, you must DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I have decided after attaining the age of 30, to finish my degree, and pursue the teaching of Government and History. Two subjects sorely lacking in publik skules. There are a lot of TFL'rs out there who are retired, and living comfortably. Get off your lazy asses, and contribute morally to the nation. No it is not your responsibility, but if not you, then who? Step up to the plate, and find some way that you can pass on what is lacking from society. You can volunteer at a local library (preferably in a local school), and make sure the correct books are in abundance. There are all sorts of sneaky ways you can make a HUGE difference. My way of thinking is that I'll have 4 classes of 25 pupils each semester. In one year, I will have dis-indoctrinated about 200 young people. For some, the seed will germinate. They will become lovers of liberty, and law, and maybe do the same thing. It is a snowball. I only have to hide my intentions for my first 3 years, and teach statist socialism until I get tenure. Once tenured, I can teach GUNS, GUTS, Liberty, and maybe even sneak in God from time to time. It'll be almost impossible to fire me, and I'll get to use their own system to my advantage. It is always easier to apologize than to ask permission.
Point is, you wont make a damn bit of difference bitching to folks older than you. Somebody has got to roll up the sleeves and get to work fixing a problem whether you created it, or not. (We all created the mess we're in by lethargy. So we all must get at it). I'd like to hear what others are doing to bring us back to the way things ought to be.
