Why oh why do people continue to buy .380s?

Show me a 9MM the size of my CW380 (not 'almost' or 'nearly' the size, but actually as small) and then we can talk. :)

because a 9mm the size of the Glock 42 kicks too much.

why do people continue to buy 9mms when there are small sized 45s?
 
Blow back firearms can be made smaller but fire lower pressure rounds. 9mm is high pressure round and only can be fired in a blow back with a massive slide like the Hi-Point. Only so small in a locked breach recoil operated.

From what I read the Kimber Micro is actually recoil operated, which would be an exception to the general rule in .380's. But that would seem to allow it to fire +p rounds with no issue.
 
Because they want a 380, that is the only reason needed.:rolleyes: I'm not sure why everyone gets so hung up on caliber? I think any gun is better than no gun at all (even the little 25acp).

Close, but the edge goes to the CW380. Problem is my pockets really fit this gun best:

Also, my shot to shot times are great and accuracy is good shooting my C380. I'm not sure I could do that with a PM9. It's recoil is bound to be snappier. It's price is snappier also!:D
 
95% of the time I carry a 45ACP (Sig P220 or XDs). I bought the Sig 238 on an impulse (deep discount on a NIB) and honestly it's my "honey can you run to the store and get" ...drop in the gym shorts pocket gun. I also know myself, if I had purchased a 9mm pocket pistol, it would have opened a whole new world of 9mm firearms - which may not be a bad thing, but I didn't want to tempt myself on further expansion of my collection.

If not for the 380, I would do the honey trips without a firearm as its too much trouble to change and strap on the holster for a 5 minute trip.

It sure looks to me like the Kimber Micro is pretty much a clone of the Colt Mustang. The only difference I see is that Kimber went with a removable mainspring housing -- a feature I happen to like. See photos in post #17

Are there any 9's of the same form factor?

I've yet to find on the same size as my LCP in the 275 dollar range. The CM9 is the closest in size I suppose, but is it as reliable???
 
It's called disposable income. People can buy the darndest things with extra money laying around! It's their money, they want something different, they need a new toy.

Why do people post questions just to start conversations?

There are certainly small compact 380s that are easier to carry with no 9mm option in the same size.
 
I personally don't like the .380, but they sure do make some tempting guns. I have to stop myself all the time. even though I don't like .380, I am not going to look down on someone elses decision to buy one. I am sure they would do just fine in a defense scenario that likely isn't going to even happen in the first place.

Taurus curve(for the wife of course)
there is plenty more, but .380s have a great price point for a perfect carry size gun, also, even though they make 9mms small enough to carry, most of the tiny ones are junk. unless your going to drop 500-ish, it's hard to find a quality micro 9mm.

How long did it take before you finally stopped trying to stick the mag in the P238 backwards?! :eek: I kept trying to put it in backwards, Just seems so unnatural to me...lol.
