Why oh why do people continue to buy .380s?

If you can't hide a Kahr PM9, Kimber Solo Carry or Sig P 938 you haven't tried.

And what type of clothing would that be?

I can hide a Sig 229 in my pocket if I wanted, that doesn't make it the best choice.

Go back and ready my post of why at work I carry a small .380 and not a small 9mm in my pocket. I wear a suit everyday to work, and often take my coat off. As small as my Shield is, it leaves a huge noticeable bulge in my suit pants where my Bodyguard .380 is barely noticeable. Out of work I carry my Shield, but that doesn't mean the Bodyguard does not have its place.

Cause we like it! Close quarters, short barrel, small cal. no big difference. Deer hunting with 9mm carbine maybe, personal defense, nah.

Yup.

Psyfly, you have the poppa of the pocket pistols there in your DK, the FI, Mustang, Sig 238/938 and others are all cloned from that pistol designed in the early fifties. I have about twenty of the little pistols and often carry a DK when the Sig P238 is at home.

I don't like the Seecamp. Its 32, it has no sites, and its dao. But nothing fits a back pocket thats better.

Front pocket and 380 is different. Since the Kahr pm9, the 380 was obsolete on that very day.

Why oh why do you care??? People buy what they like and what suits their taste. And a 380 is a lot better round than some would like to give it credit for.

I think those goofy 410 pistols are a waste of money and would never buy one myself but I sure don't care if you like them and buy one. Its your business. And I plan to stay out of it.

I have a Kahe CM9. Same size, and over a quarter pound:eek: heavier weight over my LCP as the PM model.
The extra weight in my pocket alone is enough to keep my Elsie Pea a very viable deep concealment gun. My CM is just enough larger than the LCP to make it print, and harder to draw from jeans pockets smaller than those of clown pants.
In some other pockets it isn't as bad. But that extra almost 5 ounces is quite noticable.

It's so strange to see gun owners trying to control what other gun owners should own..............
I'm not seeing anyone wanting to control anything
It's just a question about why people want a weaker cartridge that's so similar to a 9mm

Thank you! I don't want to control what guns anyone owns. I'm just making sure I'm not missing a trick question. Heck, maybe I'll learn something. Thus far no such luck.

There are now many quality 9's of the same form factor.

I went 25+ years since owning a .380, and then a couple years ago I bought a Ruger LCP.

The reasons I bought a LCP .380 were twofold.

First, because of its diminutive size, even in relation to my S&W 5-shot snubs. (I imagine if Ruger could make a 9mm the same exact size, they would.) I wanted something that would slip, pocket-holstered, into pockets that were too short & too tight to accommodate my snubs.

The second reason? I'd seen and heard of it running acceptably well in an assortment of LE user hands.

Yes, I've handled and shot the PM9. It doesn't serve to fit the role I need handled.

There's far less difference in size and weight between my seecamp and my LCP than there is between my LCP and my PM9.
And my LCP is just as reliable as my Seecamp and far more accurate.

So if there's no reason to buy a 380 same applies to 32s

So if there's no reason to buy a 380 same applies to 32s

Well if there's no reason to buy a .32 then there's definitely no reason to buy a .25, or especially a .22!

On the other hand, why buy a 9mm when you can have a .40 S&W?

Why a .40 when you can have a .45 ACP?

Why a .45 when you can have a .50AE?

Why not just get your DD stamp and just haul something like a 155 howitzer around?

It may be less of a difference than between your PM9 and LCP but the Seecamp 32 is still MUCH smaller than the LCP:

It's not really the length that's a problem with a PM9/CM9 even in a back pocket it's the width, and the LCP and Seecamp are about the same width.

and the weight I'll note that the PM is empty and the LCR is in it's natural state full up with Speer golddots add another 3+ oz for 7 rounds of 9mm and the PM is double the weight of the LCR. The Seecamp weighs nearly as much empty as the LCR loaded.
