Why no Rem 700 308 in walnut?

Best I can tell it's Sept. of 1976 or 1988. What do you think?

looks like DI if thats the right spot to be looking

There's no telling. Remington has been making Model 700s since 1962. More importantly, how does it shoot?

Did a little shooting today with the new to me rem700 bdl 308

Shot my best 5 shot group ever with this rifle at 100 yards. Here are pics of the target. Thats a nickle in last pic

Gorgeous BDL & a sweet group! Congrats on a fine, fine purchase. Funny...I was scouring GB looking at used BDL's till about 2am last night. Gotta love 'em!

Thanks guys, I am really liking this one. It DOES shoot as good as it looks. Got some vertical stringing that I've got another thread going on. http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=510919

That was by far my best group and it was with federal gold medal match 168 gr. The other groups with other ammo were 1" and up. But- i did shoot all my groups fairly rapidly - about 1-2 minutes per group. That's just how I do it. I didnt have time to let the barrel cool between each shot. I did let it cool about 5 min between groups.
