Agree with many of the others, browning is for classic hunters. People who will lay out a few hundred dollars more and get a better hunting kit. They aren't looking for the guy who wants an SKS to chase down his deer with, they want the guy who is very, very serious about hunting, and won't settle for whatever will do the job.
one of he things that sets browning apart is that they appeal to the same group as weatherby and many of the foreign brands like CZ. The browning products IMO have always been a far superior product than weatherby, and my love for the classic rifle is what makes them the most desireable of all guns.
They have no reason to go tactical or precision, those choices would cost millions to implement, and could they really grab a totally saturated market of AR clones and sniper grade rifles by the testes at this time? No. Better to concentrate on what they do best, and not waste millions trying to reinvent that quickly spinning wheel. There are millions of people who want classic browning.
Do any of you guys remember Orvis? They make every type of rod now. It doesn't take millions of dollars to create new lines for them. Yet they still sell the classic split bamboo rods at about $2,500 each, because there is still a small group of people who want to buy the classics.
