Why I do not buy Ann Coulter Books

You can address the points made in this thread in a factual matter if you wish, but I am rapidly getting tired of hearing "vomit", "crap" and "puke" in your posts when referring to other members' opinions.

Think you can play nice and debate the issue on the merits without calling everyone who disagrees a liberal, or referring to bodily secretions?
 
With all the superior intel on this thread, No one has copied complete text from her book, and I do not mean one or two sentences or even one page.

It sounds like angry liberal syndrome.
 
carbiner -- one need not read her book to get a dose of some of her extreme views. She's on TV quite often.

If Ann is so horrible as many here claim as fact, why is she in such great demand and her bok is flying off the shelves.

IMO, America is sick of the same old liberal news and obvious attempt to indoctrinate everyone into the same boring frame of mind.

Ann Coulter writes a column and appears on TV often. her columns must be indicitave of her book writing. basically in her column on Muslims the bottom line I got was Kill em all and let God Sort em out.

Her columns are stoked with hatred and venom. If I went through life like that hopefully somebody would put me out of my misery.
 
I like her. She just says in public what many say in private, but don't have the cajones to speak out loud. At her most intense, she is less abrasive, and less disingenuous than some of the Dem apologists.
 
I have one of her earlier books in which she presents lucid and persuasive arguments with a dash of humor. Her recent columns and appearances have been loud and abrasive in comparison to here earlier work.
 
At the risk of throwing myself in the fray, regardless of what the messenger is like, sometimes the message is worth listening to.

Regardless of what any of us think of Coulter, first of all she's no dummy. Her career has involved much more than just writing book sand columns. You don't get to where she did by being stupid.

Secondly, there is validity in her point. The left does have a bad habit of turing victims into poster boys, throwing them into the political arena, and then condemning anyone who dare challenge them as heartless or cruel. Such is the case with the Jersey Girls, Cindy Sheehan before she went nuts, and countless minorities associated with Jesse jackson and Al Sharpton.

Sure she's over the top. Sure she should tone down the rhetoric. But most of the people "outraged" over this are ones who call republicans "nazis" on a daily basis.
 
I've read part of Treason, and it's a good book; it points out how really bad the Dems were, even back then, and that the Republicans at the time were actually pretty good (or at least McCarthy and some others).

But, like Malkin, she's anti-Libertarian in a crazy way. Bleh.
 
I've read her new book already. Some of it was great, some amusing, some boring. She is no worse than any of her opposites on the left. She says things that many on the right are afraid to say aloud but agree with. Unfortunately, she does go overboard a bit.

As this is America, if you don't like her, feel free to ignore her. Attacking her serves no more purpose than attacking Michael Moore. You aren't going to change anyone's mind.

I am not so sure that is a correct statement and picture combination.
Witchs were left wing and the ones who burned them were right wing.

Hard to know the left from the right any more.

That picture should have been about Jane Fonda. They screwed that one up.

Goes back to the old saying, don't believe what is said, and only half of what you read.

I've been reading awhile, and I'm pretty sure that Carbiner is actually a Liberal patsy. He comes here and makes Republicans look so bad that many will want to jump ship to just avoid being associated with such thought processes.

Carbiner: It's not going to work. Your act is not going to make anyone give up their conservative point of view, no matter how silly you and Ann make them feel. Please go back to the Democratic Underground.
 
Way back when, Sarah Brady was an exact case in point to match Coulter's complaint. How do you attack what she's doing? How do you fight the results she achieves? Coulter's point is that it is not a fair debate, the leftists know it, and they exploit both that advantage and the person involved.

Another very recent case in point is Michael Berg following the death of Zarqawi.

Yes, she raises a sorta-valid point about using victims as shills (an old tried-and-true technique from *both* sides of the aisle) but she's not debating the issues raised by these folks or countering their arguments. She's directly personally attacking them in a very craven manner. There's a big difference between the two.
 
She may have been smart back in the day. However reading her columns which are filled with hate, juvenile name calling and some racism you would never know it. She is the equivelant of Michael Moore another loser I despise, who was pretty good in his early early work. If Ann is the cream of the Republican party its a sad day for America.

Based on the she is Republican and loud comments this also makes her the equivilents of the Rev Jesse Jackson and the Rev Al Sharpton two more folks who dont get it.

Silence is golden but duct tape is silver, all these folks could use some.
