The reason jobs are going overseas cannont be blamed solely on evil corporations. Some of the reasons include OSHA, EPA, ACLU, NAACP, Insurance (liability), Lawyers (stupid lawsuits), City Taxes, State Taxes, Federal Taxes, The fiction of Global Warming, etc.
Yes, they can get Chinese labor to work at a lower hourly rate than the US mandated minimum wage, but they also have much less overhead by building their plants overseas.
For example, by law, my employer is required to send me to annual training for Hazmat, CPR/First Aid, Confined Space Entry, Forklift Certification, Crane Certification, Spill Prevention, Lockout Procedures, Electrical Safety, Firefighting, Respirator Training/Physical, Spill Prevention, FEMA, MSDS, Sexual Harrassment, Workplace Violence and another half dozen I can't think of at the moment. Every single year, he must pay for all of this before I can begin doing the task he actually hires me to perform. And he must do this for the majority of the several hundred employees working for him.
If you owned a company, would you want that as part of your overhead merely to do business in the US?
